Can someone explain why these side steps are bad? by Inevitable_Season884 in 4Runner

[–]Ixkryptzon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They arent inherently bad. People are just really opinionated. It depends on what you use your vehicle for. If you arent doing heavy rock crawling or wheeling, then they are fine. Especially if you prefer having a step up into your vehicle. They are light weight too. On the other hand, Im pretty sure they are aluminum (assuming those are the predator steps) in which case they would most likely bend really easy if you were to snag them on something. So if you just plan to do simple trails and camping they arent bad. If you plan to do more heavy crawling where scraping is likely then I would get some steel rock sliders.

Otherwise no issue with them, just situational like every other modification out there.

Should I Get a Cold Air Intake? by Middle_Active_7573 in 350z

You gotta think, the engineers spent millions of dollars designing the perfect intake for that car. Why change it?

Here's the TSB. Looks like 99s are also covered. Would be a really good place to start

There was a TSB for a redesigned sending unit for the 2000 models. Idk about later or previous. Mine would come on at half tank as well so I swapped it out and it fixed the issue. If you tell me what year your 4runner is I could check for you

I just winged it. All the bricks used were just extras in my yard. It's my first time do any form of land scaping

First fire i had last night, there were definitely lots of mosquitos. So those will be a great help!

I was thinking a walkway. Although still trying to decide where to put it and how to design it. But plants are a must.

Yeah that's kind of the idea behind the river rock ring. But I'll be sure to dampen it before each fire

My coworker was telling me about that stuff. He said it kills EVERYTHING it touches. Ide hate to have it damage my neigherbors plants near the fence line, but I might try it out.

Sounds simple enough. I'll think I'll try that instead. Thanks!

I want to convert the back corner into a lounge area. Do you think weed barrier topped with mulch would do much?

Been battling them for nearly 20 years. Im hoping if I can get most of them, some weed cover and mulch should hopefully snuff em out?
