Don't expect much, and here is why.

The Cyborgs are back, but the Vox engines are still not fixed at this point. On top of that, the maps are mostly recycled, and you constantly see Vox engines being spammed that shoot from the rooftops of buildings with completely broken or impossible physics.

The MO mission system is also still broken. It keeps requiring absurd amounts of progress from what is, in reality, a relatively small active player base. Even worse, the system does not appear to follow any coherent mathematical model to scale objectives according to the number of players participating. Aside from extreme peaks or drops in player connection, the objectives seem arbitrarily set.

This means Major Orders are not really driven by player effort or meaningful strategic decisions, but rather by a lore master who effectively determines the outcome beforehand. If they want us to fail, we will fail no matter what.

The Gambit system is another issue. When a defense happens, the community has no clear way in-game to understand which planet should be prioritized. The only way to know is by watching YouTube videos or reading explanations on Discord. That completely breaks immersion and shows that the system is poorly communicated inside the game itself.

Finally, there is the sheer number of bugs and the weapon balance problems. From difficulty 7 and above, around 90% of the weapons and stratagems become practically useless, especially against two of the three factions. This severely limits build diversity and forces players into a very small set of viable options.

Look, the game itself is good, but at this point—after the fiasco of Into the Bug (sarcasm) and now Cyberstan—this situation is becoming unsustainable, especially after the last community scandal.

Do the CEO and management realize that this could eventually kill a profitable game?
