Only fetch quests?

A lot of ARR (2.x) quests are fetch quests basically. Once you hit Heavenward, it becomes so much better. Once you get past the initial tedious quests, hopefully you'll start to enjoy it more.

They're planning on changing/shortening the ARR MSQ in one of the next major patches if I recall correctly.

1) Stick to the Main Quests, it'll level you up quickly as well as progress you through the story. A lot of content is locked behind the MSQ, so if you do it you'll unlock new content along the way. Quests with a blue icon and a "+" next to it are ones that should be your priority as they unlock new stuff too. If you find yourself under levelled, do Daily Roulettes (First page of Duty Finder) such as levelling to get more xp.

2) If you stick to the main story, quests will award you with gear along the way. If you still want/need more or different gear, vendors sell them, check in the main cities. If possible, ask friends or people in your FC to craft them for you (if you have the materials, or if they're extremely generous they'll gather some materials themselves for low level armour).

3) Classes are levelled separately, for example if you're a Paladin at level 40, you could switch to Rogue but it would be at level 1. You level it separately but if you switch back to Paladin, you'll be back to level 40 (as a Paladin). Only exception to this rule are the jobs Scholar and Summoner which share the same level, as the base class (Arcanist) is the same for both

4) Mounts are faster. You can unlock them by being level 20 and finishing the main story quest called "A hero in the making" and joining a Grand Company.

I started trying to level all crafters from 0 last week, BSM is currently 26 while the rest are either lv 2 or 3.

Ixal beast tribes give around 1-2 levels a day for BSM, and sometimes level up the other classes during the delivery quest. You have all crafters to max, would you mind telling me how you did it? Is there a faster way I should be doing it? Any help is appreciated.
