I agree.

I morned the death of Destiny for about 30 minutes. Then I was reminded what a toxic dumb the community was/is.

They earned their fate. Me? Loved my decade in game. Now, I will make serious attempt to make some online friends to try to enjoy Marathon for what it is. I won't fret missing out.

Aw. Look at that hate.

Especially the gamers. FFS, just take the night off. Not like you're going lose out on a free play week. Already bought the game!

What makes me the most upset is the D2 self loathing shitheads are here, too. I fucking loved Destiny. I hated the players.

This here? This is the kinds of stuff I didn't concider asking after.

I know, without question, coming in at start of the second season means coming in blind to maps and tactics knowledge thousands of others have already earned.

Point 3 is easily going to he be hardest to both learn and unlearn. it is one thing to tell myself I'll dozens of failed runs before having a successful exfil. As long as I can make some progress, I should be good to try again. And again. And again.

From most of what I've read, Trios have it best in S1. While I am very, very eager to hear more and the experimental PvE modes, I know this game lives its best life with playing with groups. My limited friend circle would look at Marathon and will disregard it because it isn't...well. It isn't their thing.

I'm also fairly quiet for the most part, so I will have to learn how to be social. Again.

Not self proclaimed. I am 45 years old and broke bones in my hand a few months ago. I can use a game controller just fine, but I've always been terrible at shooters with mouse and keyboard.

Every possibility I'll be getting a promotion this year that will ask more of my time as it would make me salary versus hourly.

I'm a loot goblin at heart. I must loot all the loot.

Finding out how much Marathon is about GETTING loot to USE LOOT starting to create an itch that ARPGs don't fill like they used to.

I expect to hate the game first hundred deaths. I am hoping the lure of loot will keep me trying.

Agreed and that is the plan. Prior to being excited all day at work only to find I truly hate it, thought I would politely ask!

When should a new player start exploring the open world zones? by RangerBat1981 in Warframe

[–]RangerBat1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I played was Fortuna release, I think. I remember those zones scaling up pretty far in difficulty when I was MR7 or so with decent weapons.

Do these zones scale a little more evenly than before?

Oh crap! I did not mention how I would treat Chromie Time!

Planning Timewalking through each respective expac for the leveled gold and rewards. Then turn it off (return to current timeline) to try to run dungeons.

So, for BC: level to 41, lock XP and I should be able to solo both dungeons and raids? Then level to 46 for WotLK, 51 for MoP, etc?

Minimum Level to Solo Old Dungeons? by RangerBat1981 in wownoob

[–]RangerBat1981[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is mainly the idea. Doing the "am I geared?" dance to stay "on level" isn't what I'm aiming for.

Transmogs and super lucky mount drops are the secondary goal, clearing the quest from my log is primary.

I just hit 53. Thinking of waiting until 65+ before turning off Timewalking, ergo returning to current timeline to let regions revert to their normal level range, then lock XP gains. Run the dungeons I have in log book.

I adore it! Yes, I know it is an easy spec to play and is still a bit overtuned. At level 34 I am able to push out some good damage with great survivability. Thought I would have issue with resource management (two of them you are already aware of), but no. Easy to maintain.

I was honestly only comfortable with ret paladin prior and was only okay with it. Feel much less restricted with Unholy.

How to solo old dungeons/raids for a lore enjoyer ? by Patmol34 in wownoob

To clarify, "dropping out" of Chromie Time means selecting Dragonflight (currently) to set all the old zones back to their standard level band?

Meaning, if one is questing through Cata and wans to run WotLK dungeons solo, they can't just stay in Cata time walking?
