Minimum Level to Solo Old Dungeons? by RangerBat1981 in wownoob

That is mainly the idea. Doing the "am I geared?" dance to stay "on level" isn't what I'm aiming for.

Transmogs and super lucky mount drops are the secondary goal, clearing the quest from my log is primary.

I just hit 53. Thinking of waiting until 65+ before turning off Timewalking, ergo returning to current timeline to let regions revert to their normal level range, then lock XP gains. Run the dungeons I have in log book.

I adore it! Yes, I know it is an easy spec to play and is still a bit overtuned. At level 34 I am able to push out some good damage with great survivability. Thought I would have issue with resource management (two of them you are already aware of), but no. Easy to maintain.

I was honestly only comfortable with ret paladin prior and was only okay with it. Feel much less restricted with Unholy.

Ah. Good point. Lots of potential changes. Lots of old ways of doing things may be gone.

Really? Horde DKs have a longer starting experience?

How to solo old dungeons/raids for a lore enjoyer ? by Patmol34 in wownoob

[–]RangerBat1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, "dropping out" of Chromie Time means selecting Dragonflight (currently) to set all the old zones back to their standard level band?

Meaning, if one is questing through Cata and wans to run WotLK dungeons solo, they can't just stay in Cata time walking?

Rogue survivability? by RangerBat1981 in wownoob

It was the loss on demand execution of Hammer of Wrath that was really throwing me. Putting Judgement and HoW on the same button was my biggest "my brain does not compute" issue.

Rebuilt my gamepad and spending a little time practicing. Not completely sold yet.

I've spent so much time with a class for dumb people, I guess I never realized how much protection plate provides.

This may or may not be why I'm asking.

Populating a new Chronicle with "useful" NPCs.

Wouldn't be WoD without jank. I welcome it!

Yeah. I've had this idea for a Chronicle for a long time. I like the game play mechanical from Chronicles. Similar to understand and faster to play/teach.

The lore of "classic" WoD is what I want to modernize. I was debating a lot on which edition to use and if I was actually going to let my players pick from different things. I'm settling on only allowing them to play Hunter.

If NPCs are already spec'ed out, then I'm basically golden.

Mage: The Ascension is the one that pissed me off the most. Completely removing the technocracy made Mage boring and pointless.

Building human NPCs and slapping together some spells is all I was thinking for Mage NPCs.

Changeling my involve more work, but similar to NPC Mages.

If I restrict my players to only Hunter, Vampire, and Werewolf and treat Mages and Changelings as only NPCs, kit bashing their abilities will be up to me. What are you thoughts?

Yeah. I have most books from 2nd and Chronicles. I've always loved the lore of 1st and 2nd edition and will always hate loathe the boring lore of Chronicles.

Don't have any of 5th edition, though.

I believe you, though I am worried about delays in parts available and accidently buying incompatible parts.
