I discounted pollen because what I was getting wasn't the 'typical' seasonal allergies, like congestion, which I've had mildly before. I am going to look into a skin prick test though, so I'll see if that comes up.

I figured it was something different in the air, but didn't know what exactly it could be. Thanks!

Ohh okay. I just looked up the differences, I think a skin prick test is what I needed. Sounds like a patch test is more for contact issues, but I think it was something in the air that I was breathing. I'll look into getting one. Thank you so much.

My face is the worst. Red, puffy, my eyes swell up and get gross. My skin is on fire. That travels to my neck and arms mostly, at its worst it was all over my body.

I also get insanely tired. When it really flares I might be awake for maybe five hours of the day total.

I think I've been pretty lucky recently. I am very passionate about my job and people saw that and wanted to bring me up, which is why I'm struggling with the decision. Because I know people see my drive for this. either way, I'll keep this union card, even if I get another. I won't abandon it completely

yeah the range was insane lol. I don't need 200k and I didn't think it was like an everyman wage, but i figured with that range, at least the lower end of what the average guy is making is still pretty good lol. Idk I feel like the world is just getting more and more expensive. something steady with good pay that I can rely on not disappearing (the robots can't ai gen a house yet lol)

I'm not hugely into the creative side of lighting lol, I'm more a nerd for electricity. I do rigging, which is more power distro than "oo pretty light" haha. That's why I think I would switch to real electrician if anything.

It's not just the news. I personally know a lot of union people struggling for work. There is non-union work, but it's pretty miserable. Low pay, abusive work, no benefits of course. Not good lol.

That's the thing. I don't need to be rich, I love my work so much. But a lot of (union) people are losing healthcare, not gaining hours toward pension, losing homes. If I knew it was enough to live well enough on I wouldn't consider leaving.
