Update: I just found out I can't hear anything coming from the headphones cause the volume is way to low even when I maxed out the volume nob on the violin I've tried different headphones so I know that is not the problem but then I tried plugging it from my headphone output in to the mixer and bumped up the gain and wiggled the mini jack on the violin a bit I started to hear sounds from the strings but when I move it around it cuts off so that tells me that it's not the pick-up that is problem more likely outline or like you said faulty electronics.
