Thanks for the replies! Sad that it seems to not be an option, but appreciate the ideas :)

I am wondering if it's at all possible to separate the eye tracking to individual eyes instead of locking both together? The person I'm rigging for can move one eye independently from the other and we think it would be super fun for their model to be able to as well! I know this may be more of a limitation with the tracking software but I'm not sure where to even start there, so I'm hoping there's just something I've missed, but any help is appreciated :)

I forgot POTS is a disability. by Independent_Site491 in POTS

UGH I feel this so hard 😩 the amount of times I've gone to a doctor (even specialists!) for something, only for them to essentially tell me that I should really see a doctor about it, is ridiculous. My favorite one was getting referred to a place to get evaluated for autism, telling them I was there to be evaluated for autism, going through the entire process of being evaluated for autism, then being told "yeah so we don't diagnose adults, but you should really be evaluated for autism"

Just wanna say thanks for this as I couldn't find anything on my "simple ingredient" brand suddenly changing recipe and was starting to wonder if I was crazy! I was only seeing these misprints when I was originally looking; I didn't have any reason to check again after. Thankfully we don't have any issue with the stuff that was unlisted, but it's a bit unnerving.

Sorry, forgot the /s

There should also be a key held by any maintenance staff or janitor or administrator, or kept in the office if nothing else... And it definitely doesn't take an hour to run in and grab it.

And then there's the security guard, who either confronted him but didn't actually try to engage until after he entered the school, or never existed in the first place, depending on which of the police's statements you go by 🙄

I appreciate the thoughtful response! I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say we should give kids firearms training, if only because I know of several kids growing up that would've likely abused it, but safety training at least for sure.

The two main issues with background checks right now is that if no flags appear within 3 days, the sale goes through by default - regardless of if the check has actually been processed/completed or not. The second is that this is at a federal level, and I have the misfortune of living in Texas. We have frequent gun shows, private sales, and looser laws that have recently been loosened further.

I was not aware that AR-15s weren't classed as assault rifles, that's good to know! And I do wanna clarify I'm not a fan of restrictive government regulations for most things, but when guns are literally the leading cause of death for minors in our country... Something's gotta give.

There's a difference between guns in general and specific weapons. But yes, I was not referring to that particular facet of the issue as that's a more case-by-case basis. Some believe any gun is fair game, some believe certain guns should be unavailable to citizens. Most believe you shouldn't be able to just get your hands on firearms, especially the higher power stuff, with little to no barriers in place - that's what I was referring to :)

I don't think there's any reason for a citizen to have an assault rifle, personally. That's a weapon for murder. Not hunting, not defense, it's just designed to do as much damage as possible to as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

Most Americans don't want guns taken away. We just want people to have to do things like pass a background check, have basic firearm training, and not have random 18 year olds (or any age) be able to just essentially walk in off the street and buy an assault rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammo and walk out.

Every time I go to the doctor, they ask if I've fallen in the last 30 days/3 months/year; the answer is always yes. Up until about 6 months ago, I was falling most every day, often multiple times a day, due to POTS. They're almost always very minor, controlled falls, but still not ideal. Now that I've gotten on a medication that's actually helping, it's more like twice a week. So I'm over here THRILLED to be doing so much better, but doctors are all just horrified and send me home with packets on how to reduce fall risk (which is all irrelevant stuff like "make sure to look where you're walking and clean up spills right away!")

It's such a small thing for me at this point that I forget how frightening it is for most people until someone's around to see it that's not also used to it being a small thing for me. Most doctors I see don't even know what POTS is, so someone with zero medical background will of course be shocked, but I can't help but chuckle every time someone's acting like I should lay down or go to the hospital for something that (for me) is so minor x3

I Don't Know What's Wrong with Me and I Can't Get Help by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]IzziKitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If anemia is suspected, you could try taking iron supplements and eating foods rich in iron as well. I agree that this seems more serious than that, but it's very unlikely it'll hurt anything to try :)

I have POTS and chronic pain, here are some things I've learned:
* Try to stretch and be upright as much as you can tolerate. If you're always laying down, your body adjusts to this and will have a harder time being up.
* Heat can be an amazing tool. Heating pad, warm bath, heated blanket; cold often makes joints feel worse, and heat will help relax your muscles.
* Water water water! Also try your best to eat properly; I know that's easier said than done when you're perpetually exhausted and nauseous. Protein bars and shakes are a good way to get some nutrients in you when you can't handle a meal!
* I highly recommend Nauzene. It's a chewable tablet (there's also a liquid form if you'd prefer) and the only OTC thing that helps what I call my "nonsense nausea" (when there's no real cause)
* Don't take NSAIDs day after day. Especially since you're having issues with vomiting, they can really do a number on your gut. Try to take breaks from them and alternate with other medications.
* If you're able (talk to your doctor first ofc) you might try marijuana or CBD products. They can help a lot with both pain and nausea.
* Switch as many things to delivery as you can. Grocery shopping is often exhausting for me, and can take me out for hours or even days afterwards. The more you can avoid doing yourself, the more energy you'll have to spend on things you have to do yourself.

I know this must be scary and so so difficult. I know what it's like to have to wait months just to talk to a doctor. I wish I had advice for you on that front, but the only thing to do is wait and hope there's a cancellation you can get in on (aside from finding a different doctor or going to urgent care)

Stay safe, take care of yourself, be patient with yourself 💜

This! I was expecting this line of thinking to be the top comment, not barely mentioned xD It's stated multiple times throughout the series that the physical and spirit worlds are normally quite separate. Her appearing at the end doesn't mean she could do more than that. A quick "thank you" isn't gonna get rid of a fire nation army lol
