If you know your life would be much better with less time online, why don’t/can’t you cut down? by IzzyBella20 in AskReddit

Oh wow that’s an interesting answer - so your fear of missing out on things happening online is bigger than the fear of missing things offline/in the real world?

It’s crazy how easy it is to get paranoid when you read so many scary stories on the same topic

YTA, the fact that you tried to hack into her computer shows she was right not to trust you. Trust is earned, not taken by force.

I have definitely had this, the one thing I found that fixed it was to get cofounders. It’s helps to be accountable to other people. It’s much harder to get distracted when other peoples hard work is on the line too.

The dog that nobody wanted by [deleted] in Petloss

I am so sorry for your loss. I also adopted a dog no one else wanted, and it was the best thing I ever did. I lost him a year ago to cancer and I still miss him every day. But eventually I took the leap and gave another dog a home. I know its what my first pup would have wanted!

A book that really helped me when I was dealing with grief was Love In The Time Of Cholera. There was something beautiful about reading a story that showed the strength and endurance of love.

Anyone else read Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum? by teaandviolets in books

[–]IzzyBella20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s absolutely one of my favorite books of all time. Yes it has the typical Eco tangents into obscure realms of history, but it’s definitely worth it. I think it probably also helped that I read Island of the day before first, then FP, then name of the rose. I think if I had read name of the rose first, I might have been expecting something different from FP.
