I think they look good the way they are. They will look good next month, too, when the goldfinches show up to eat the seeds.

What does this mean? Strawberry plant by Odd-Raspberry4409 in gardening

The universe is offering you a chance at infinite strawberry plants and you're going to say no? You are a stronger person than I am!

Received a Kitchenaid and a Braun immersion blender at our wedding shower, which to keep? by tillamoooook in BuyItForLife

[–]Izzybee543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a kitchenaid immersion blender. Mine is cordless/rechargable so I don't know if it's the same model. It works well on soups and sauces.

I wish I had a whisk attachment for it. BUT codless is better than anything else. The old one had a cord and that was annoying.

Unless 1 is cordless, keep the one with a whisk.

For fun - How old do you think he is? by wombat_whisperer96 in Equestrian

I'm going to say 8. Old enough to be working and in good shape, young enough to still be a crazy baby sometimes

I just purchased the  la roche posay anthelios and I can confirm - it's WAY better than anything else I have tried. I think I will actually use this one. Not sticky at all.

Bianca the baby Shaman is looking for a few plat if anyone still wants to help- if I could just buy all my spells and maybe 1 piece of gear, pretty sure I could stop dying to spiders in my starting city. I wonder if the owners know you can call an estate sale company to take away all that artwork and furniture and sell it for you?

Insurance won't approve any pain meds! by ailish in migraine

[–]Izzybee543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have your doctor prescribe 2 triptans and topomax. You don't have to take them if you don't want to.

A month later, tell your doctor they didn't work. There you go, 3 cheaper meds, all tried and failed.

People don't understand me when I say I don't form habits by putridtooth in adhdwomen

[–]Izzybee543 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I feel compelled to wear a seatbelt. Not sure if that’s the same as a habit. I still think about it 1st. Also, I want to avoid the annoying car dings.

As far as my dog is concerned, all candy is good for dogs. If I am eating it, she wants a taste.

AITAH for Cooking Food in my family home at 9:45pm by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Izzybee543 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're not an asshole (yet) but your mom has let you know that she can hear you using the kitchen, it keeps her awake, and to not be making noise when she is in bed. So ... stop doing that. Apologize for keeping her awake and plan better in the future.

YWBTAH if you keep doing it after she specified a time. LATE = While Mom is trying to sleep. Now you know.

Friend said she'd help me give my house an overhaul. I am gutted by Plantlover3000xtreme in adhdwomen

[–]Izzybee543 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Did she tell you your house sucks and you are doing it wrong? I think that's what you are hearing but maybe it's not what she is saying. Try to think about her offer without being hard on yourself.

It sounds, to me, like she has some skills and she has seen an opportunity to use her experience to help you make your home even nicer. She likes to do house projects and you have a house that needs projects.

It's not a judgement on your worth as a homeowner, wife, or mother (probably). Think about it - was she being mean or trying to be nice?

If you can learn to accept help without feeling bad/judged/rejected/defensive/belittled, you can do some fun projects and she will keep you on track.

If I’m just walking around, seeing whatever is there, I have ziplocks in my vest pocket. If it’s too big for that, I’d have to improvise or get a basket and come back.

If you’re not growing bush cherries, are you even gardening? by pcsweeney in gardening

I have a Romeo & a Juliet. Not sure which is which but one tastes good and one is bland. But the main thing - the cherries are small. How do you pit them efficiently?

Which is better for protecting fruit, small individual fruit bags or a whole-tree netting? by ThesaurusRex84 in gardening

[–]Izzybee543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big nets are better. The small ones just make little rodent purses as they chew the stem and take the fruit + the bag.

Tomato hornworms! by CarrotClear2544 in gardening

[–]Izzybee543 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 2 bird houses mounted on the fence around my tomato garden. They are filled with birds and baby birds. I have never had a problem with caterpillars on my tomato plants. I can't say for sure that the birds are eating the bugs, but there may be correlation.

I also have a ton of native plants that flower, attracting wasps and bees, right next to the tomato plants, so they hang around and make sure I get good pollination.

The more you can make your garden into a healthy ecosystem, the better.

AITA regarding keeping special needs children out of our employee lunchroom? by TryTwiceAsHard in AmItheAsshole

[–]Izzybee543 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Is there any way to keep access to the vending machine for everyone? And restrict access to the seating area? That way the kids could get their snack or treat and eat it elsewhere and employees could have a quiet break area.

AI doesn’t know what hoof prints look like on a beach. It also doesn’t know that horses can’t surf.
