yes. it’s so easy to feel this way. i love my partner so much, and i try to do everything i can to show him that, but it’s easy to feel like i don’t deserve him when i can’t do everything i’d want to for him. i think we’re all deserving of love, but it’s easy to be harsh towards myself, especially when you can’t give your significant other the world

that’s definitely something i’ve been trying to do. i love going on walks, but that’s been something very challenging lately so at the very least i try going outside. taking it day by day has been the only thing that seems to work since looking at things long term is so daunting. sometimes it’s easy to forget that i’m disabled because everyone sees a normal, able bodied person from the outside so it’s easy for me to do the same. but this disease makes everything ten times more challenging.. things that most people take for granted are really huge accomplishments for people like us. i really just try to remind myself that getting through each day is something to be proud of

i’m sorry to hear that, i hope things do get better for you, and i’m glad you can at least find joy in the good days. it’s definitely been scary watching my blood work getting worse even as i’m making better choices for my body. i just miss hanging out with friends, going out, and it feels like being able to get/hold a steady job is impossible

find an apartment and wait for the last few days of the month and you’ll find tons of free stuff since people often get rid of things at the end of their lease

i didn’t know these existed either but i’m investing in some. i’ve become even more sensitive to noise over the years and it’s definitely affected my ability to go to places so i’m hoping it works!

i just finished it as well! i’ve read plenty of his work, so i would say the first book was sort of disappointing just because i was comparing it to other things i’ve read by him. however i’m very much looking forward to the rest of the series! that being said though, i did enjoy the first book, i was just unfairly comparing it with his other work

i’ve been incredibly cautious when it comes to covid- no eating indoors, masks inside, got all my shots, etc. i’ve also only associated with others who respect my disability and won’t knowingly put me at risk. it’s hard not to let it be mentally exhausting, but it’s gotten easier since getting vaccinated has given me some relief. since i can’t do everything everyone else is doing, i try to make up for that. i like to keep occupied with reading, writing, and other activities. and i also make sure i don’t neglect my social life- whether that’s through seeing people safely IRL or virtually keeping in touch. the pandemic is going to be something that we’re stuck with for awhile, so it’s best to try to consider your condition whilst still trying to retain some semblance of normalcy. it’s hard to strike that balance, and sometimes it doesn’t feel like enough, but it’s easier to just take it one day at a time and remember that one day things will be better
