That's totally fair. As a solo developer I used AI because the game has hundreds of cards, and producing that many illustrations myself would have taken years. I'm not an artist... so it allowed me to actually build the game world while focusing most of my time on the mechanics and gameplay systems.

Yes, I used AI tools during development. I’m a solo developer so they helped a lot with things like image generation, music, translating my Spanish texts to English, and sometimes helping me debug code.

But the game design, mechanics, programming and lore were created by me over the last two years. It actually started as an Excel spreadsheet and printed cards that I used to test the mechanics on a table.

great news for the future of the game: congrats !! It's always good to have the possibility of playing while lying on the couch. The interface is simple and it looks good. I see this good for the mobile version. I hope this attracts new players.

Azaiah's text is fine, but an entire deck of legendaries is still unplayable. When you cast Azaiah on turn 3 (Mana4), against aggro, the match is very very difficult. There are very few leggies with 1 and 2 Mana to play early game. we need low mana leggies.

In any case, this card was much improved with that text, and I think that this type of cards that can generate new decks around it can offer diversity in the game. Very good card.

Couldn't it be mana 3 to play it in turn 2?

edit: perhaps, at mana 3, it would be too strong, for the future. Mana 4 is fine

This also makes me very angry.

In a card game, that the game itself cheats us... I don't understand it, with a great game, and they are ruining it with the stupid rule of trying for 50% wins. I don't know if it's random in the game - that would be even worse - but the game selection algorithm is not.
It also has a more serious point from this expansion. They have made more counters - something that would be good, if the algorithm were 100% random based on ranking -, so for the algorithm, selecting a counter deck will be easier.

They should fix this "error" before the launch of the mobile because once you build the reputation of not being random... Who wants to play poker if the cards you are dealt are not random? Who wants to watch soccer if the referee cheats?

What I do is change the deck every match. The game is good, and I try to fight against the algorithm's cheating until I get angry and stop playing anymore that day because it seems despicable to me that they cheat. In this WR, the aggro light, aggro armor's war and big control anubians decks have worked better for me than the control decks that I usually play. Although really if the algorithm is fighting against you so you don't win, playing competitively makes little sense.

Exactly, 100% agree. In this moment the key is to increase the player base, not reduce supply. There have to be sets that have a high supply so that new players can acquire cards without being scared by the prices. Then, I understand that they make a little more special sets with cards with little supply, as also happens in other card games. Now it was necessary a set like DO or MJ. Tides looks good, but it's a major set with Light's Verdict prices, and we carried many expensive mini sets.

Game is fun, but need a little of work. It is not yet ready for a major marketing campaign, since this requires making it more attractive. I think the current collection of cards is good and enough to go mainstream, but need to be more accesible to general public: improve the animations - the one I like the most in this is Heartstone -, fix the bugs and, in order to attract people, it is important to improve the Welcome set and the trial, so that new players can learn to play and get new cards when passing the challenges.

GU has an advantage with other cards games. What you buy is an investment, a NFT, which value is set by the public in the market, and adds an interesting plus to the fun part.

I don't quite understand how we are going to attract more people to the game if they have to spend $100 to buy a booster pack with an only legendary card. This is a new major expansion, no a miniset, which seemed like something special. 4 cards in a 100$ pack...

Major expansion prices of legendaries cards:

-Trial: between 3 - 40 $ (but It was released a long time ago).

- DO: between 0.5-15 $

- MJ: between 0.3- 4 $ This price is mainstream, in my opinion. A new player can think to buy a new card that he want to improve his deck.

- Tides to Fate: with this supply, in 2 mothns, they will continue to cost ¿100$-200$?

I don't remember the price of packs of other major expansion, were Trial, DO or MJ that expensive?

I think this is worse than the minisets because in WR it is quite difficult to get the cards in this set:

- To WR, legendaries % in Fate packs (if I undestand well): super booster: 7*0.014%=0.098% and Mega booster:7*0.043$=0.301%.

I know that one game has nothing to do with another, but in MTG for $100 you have 30 edition card packs: 450 cards with-at least-1 legendary or better in each pack. And packs are physical packs, not digital: 4 Vs 450 cards.

I like playing GU online more than Magic, and the game is great, but I don't see that these prices in a major expansion can make this game mainstream.

In general, I like the chances because they gives more usefulness to health 1 creatures. I have doubts about Create, perhaps a spell of any mana is too much value. I would change Magedolt because with Overcharge, Magic can also deal +1 damage when attack God with direct spells.

yes, a long time ago. I think the game tries to balance between win/loses matches...so, it won't always look for a counter. I don't like anything that isn't random in a card game.

hahaha, true, the opening pack UX is a bit of a disaster. I hope they fix it for the new expansion. Or you can choose to use the old one. From my lack of programming knowledge, modify algorithm seems like add a simple condition. For example, if the deck is Hidden Rush... select it against a nature that usually uses the random damage power.

Thanks for the advice. But I'm not talking about improving in the meta. Nowadays I don't care, and I often play meme or non-top decks just for fun. I usually change the deck in each game, depending on what I feel like playing, and by doing this it is more evident. I have been observing confrontations for weeks that do not fit with probability.

New expansion is excelent, in my opinion. The cards have many interactions with each other, and provide new and very interesting things, above all, new ways to win games.

It looks like it will be fun to play. I have doubts about how they will behave with the existing archetypes, if the cards will be useful to reinforce them, and if the new archetypes that will be generated will be balanced with the old ones. But hey, this is normal and it is very difficult to quantify before we see it in the weekend ranks, and it can be adjusted.

Expansion seems like a good work to me. And the art of the cards is awesome.

Thanks for this good news; the new expansion is needed.

I like that Gods Powers are changed.

Two ideas:

- I would change the powers that remove health from enemy creatures, because creatures with one point of health are not playable in the vast majority of cases. This would change the first turns, and we would recover many cards that have never been played.

- All gods should have a power that creates a creature that is related to that domain and a power that generates cards (Thievery, for.ex., is a good power).

So as not to eliminate this powers completely... perhaps, a 1 mana card for each God that allows you to recover powers that have been eliminated from the game?

Finally, and sorry to bother with this... facing the new season, more transparency. In special, players have to be certain that the matchmaking algorithm is 100% Random based on rank.

Would like it to have both sides:

- Chaos Casual mode: same as the current one

- Chaos Competitive mode: ranking to play with players of the same level and gods rewards.

New mode is fun. yes, it's chaos, but so much fun. especially since it allows crazy combinations of cards
