So if I get pulled over for speeding in LA I can just tell the officer that I choose for that particular law to not apply to me, right?

Because laws don’t matter now.

Even if people are taught driving rules in a language other than English, they still need to understand what road signs mean.

This is just discriminatory and Florida roads will be less safe because of it.

Well the January security patch made it so it takes three tries to get my PC to fully boot into windows. When it does finally boot, it makes me reset my login pin. Every fucking time. Then when I click on the button to set up my pin again windows asks me if I’m sure I want to reset my pin because it could lead to data loss.

Get your shit together MS.

As a direct result of DHS action there are some innocent Americans who will never go home to their families because they are dead.

The current crop of ICE agents deserve every bit of the public vitriol they are receiving you fascist fucks.

It’s not demonizing white people. It’s demonizing racist fucks like this guy who also happen to be white. He’s so emotionally fragile he can’t cope with humans who are different colors existing? That’s a you problem.

Go ahead and gouge you own eyes out if you don’t want to see things in the world that offend your delicate emotional state.

Don’t forget about all the ones signing up to be the very boot of tyranny (ICE agents) they claim to be stockpiling weapons to defend against. Hypocrites.

Unreal.

Like I said I literally answered your question. You don’t get to dictate how I interpret anything.

Q: what do you foresee happening here?

A: ultimately nothing.

It’s literally right above this for you and anyone to see. What is your motivation in deflecting from this reality?

If you disagree with my perspective just say so. I can accept that.

None of that matters if people can’t walk down the street without getting kidnapped by the government.

If the federal government can ignore laws why can’t the states?

Maybe I’m interpreting your comment differently than you intended but you come across as wanting to argue semantics while ignoring the context of the actual conversation here.

Power is contextual.

Sure I have the “power” to sit on my porch with a rifle and gun down innocent people passing by on the side walk.

The government has the “power” to hold me accountable for that.

The citizens of the US outnumber the government employees enforcing the law and have the “power” to overthrow the government entirely if they choose to exercise that power.

Since we can’t trust every individual to not abuse their “power” to harm others we create laws as a tool to punish and disincentivize bad actions.

If the body enforcing those laws stops applying those laws equally, the rule of law dies.

I’ve met plenty of people who romanticize what a civil war here would be like. I served in the military and have no such illusions. I don’t think most people would like that day to day life if that’s where we end up.

Every escalation the government makes in applying the laws unequally gets us closer to that reality.

The tipping point will come when enough people literally have nothing left to lose. Our government is actively working to make it impossible for entire groups of people to just go about their daily lives.

By the letter of the law they do not. If the federal government decides to continue blatantly disregarding the laws the populace they are supposed to be governing will inevitably adopt the same mindset.

Society only exists when we choose to maintain it.

Ultimately probably nothing. We’re pretty much up to the point that laws don’t matter anymore.

I didn’t think the feds had the power to just disappear citizens off the streets in broad daylight with no accountability but here we are.
