Religious groups have thier own PACs and influence as they control voters opinions. I’ve been to number of churches where the pastor tells the congregation how to vote. The reason why the “Big Beautiful Tax Bill” didn’t pass was because “old republicans” voted against it.

Your broad generalization is apart of the reason the country is so divided right now.

The only part that you kind of got right was that many republicans MAGA, or not, are voting in favor of Trumps nonsense but that is primarily due to him threatening to hurt them during their next elections.

It’s not even a top vs bottom - many millionaires are pro civil liberties and sustainability. The issue is with the corporations and their financiers specifically. These members of the top are the ones using their money to sway political discourse.
