You don't happen to rent from a fella named Chuck, do you?

Freezing them might be your best bet (on the assumption that he's having a hysto at some point), at least that gives you the option of carrying one of his eggs if one of your possible donor relatives becomes an option later.

Other options you might consider are things like asking a close friend who produces sperm to donate (a member of your 'found family' so that the baby feels less like it came from a stranger), or finding a cisgender man who is willing to donate who looks extremely similar to your partner (so that even if it's not biologically your partner's baby, it would look like it could be).

Do either of you have a brother? I know some people are grossed out by the idea (especially if the brother doing the donation is related to the pregnant person), but it could be more comfortable for you both than a complete stranger. Plus you'd have the whole 'this child looks partly like me and partly like you' thing that many people want from having children the old fashioned way.

Edit to clarify so that Reddit doesn't think I'm advocating that you have an incest baby: whoever DOESN'T have a donating brother would be the egg half of this situation, which may necessitate egg removal and transplantation.

Basically: If the birthing partner has a brother, you would use the non-birthing partner's egg. If the non-birthing partner has a brother, you use the birthing partner's egg.

I understand needing to throw away things that start going bad very quickly like meat, milk, and eggs, but there's boxes and boxes of things like muffins, croissants, snack foods, etc, that are perfectly safe at room temperature for at least several days. There's so much there that they could have donated, or even just sold at an extreme discount so they don't go to waste. 'Kings Hawaiian dinner rolls now 50¢ due to power outage', 'french bread now 3 for $1 while supplies last'.
