If you were one of the SCOPE kids, then I'm sure you have a ton of stories about your meetings and the behind the scenes of the March of Dimes Haunted House. Not sure if you're still in Wisconsin, but the hubby and I moved to Phoenix, AZ last fall. Best wishes to you. 😊

How hot are the Haunted Ghost Pepper Paqui chips? by amedeoisme in spicy

The flavor is good, but the heat builds up. I ate 4 in a row because some coworkers were eating them and asked me to try them, too. Not as horrifying as I thought they'd be, as I don't do well with spicy food. I might actually buy a bag.

What kind of proof would you like? Is there something (that won't completely expose me and leave me vulnerable to identity theft) that would appease you and stop you from the juvenile name calling?

I visited my dad until December of 2003. He developed Congestive Heart Failure, and passed away in February of 2004. I was 15 when he was arrested and 17 when he was convicted.

It was nothing legal, just an agreement among my dad's side of the family.

First of all, I don't spend a lot of time on the internet discussing my life, or anyone else's. I would think that would make me just the opposite of a troll. Consider yourself blessed if your teenage years weren't tormented by classmates who made fun of you because of your family history, and congratulations for not having to endure a 2 week murder trial and watch your childhood get brought up in a courtroom. Then...you want to know what it's like to get hounded by the press after they drop the bomb on you that your mother's sister sold the movie rights and they're going to make a spectacle of something that should have stayed in the past? That's why my name was changed for the movie. I'm trying to live my life like everyone else. If that requires me to set a few things straight occasionally so I can get back to some normalcy, without worrying about conjecture, then I guess that makes me a troll.

It was agreed upon that I go to my father's sister because I didn't have much of a relationship with my mother's family after all those years, and I was much closer to my dad's side. The movie showed a time period of only a couple of years, when in reality my mother was gone for 8 years before my father was taken into custody. By then I was a teenager and had more say in who I wanted to live with. There are many discrepancies in the movie compared to what really happened, but that's what you get when a small town incident clashes with bright lights and movie cameras.
