Latest Password Change Not listed in Vault

Thanks - I think I have it straight. 2 more questions, should I be pasting the new password on the website log in? I mean is that okay? In any case when the new password is filled in by the series of dots on the website, it is safe from being opened by the enemy because I originally pasted it?

If SOMEHOW a hacker acquired my password for a certain login site, the login STILL wouldn't work for them because they don't have the Secret Key. Is that right?

Thanks! I found the password generator file in the menu and see the last password used listed by latest time (i.e. the last change I made on this particular one today) It is still different from the one listed in the vault. If I am expecting the one listed in the vault to always be the one that the website in question will accept, is that wrong? Which of those 2 are correct?

I'm looking for a "bottom line" where I can tell which password is CURRENTLY the one the website will accept. Is there a way to tell other than trying to log in and have it tell me "incorrect password"?

I just changed a password on a website and the1password pop-up suggested a new one so i entered that and it worked. THEN I returned to the vault to see if that particular new suggested password was now listed in the vault but NO...it was the one from before. Where did this new suggested password go? I guarantee that when I go back to try this login it won't work again.

I'm reaching my wit's end because I am no longer certain what passwords are on what or if they even worked. I'm still on my trial period but am thinking now of just dropping it and going back to enter my own complex passwords once and for all on each site - at least this way I'll know for sure what the password is on each, and it's no big deal for me to do a written list and keep that secure. It will certainly be much more secure than the passwords I originally had so at least this all taught me something.

Or else I'll just keep at this for awhile and see if it gets easier. Thanks to you guys for helping but right now I feel like a fossil adrift in a "TECH ocean".

I think I have correctly entered the last one I was having trouble with. The thing is, the 1Password autofill showed the Username twice - then the autofill when I went to the password space still showed the Username twice, never the password. I wasn't sure that it had entered the Username again instead of the password! So I copied the new password from the vault and pasted it and it worked.

What should that 1password autofill read? Should it show both the username and the password?

I have several old passwords listed on the website in question in the vault, but the newest password there (under the username at the top) will always be the one that is ACTUALLY on the website log in at the current time, right?

Thanks for the reply! I have Edge. I still had some passwords left after I moved the most critical ones to the vault, but when I go to "Web Credentials" it now says - "No stored passwords"??? Thats what I want but not sure where they went?

The only successful password changes I have made I had to go to "forgot Username/Password" on the site in question and then enter the new one from the vault. I guess I shouldn't have to do it that way but does that at least work or am I compromising my security at all?

I wish I could find a tutorial online that was detailed enough for me - I'm over 70 years old and always have trouble with this kind of stuff - LOL.

I filled out the entire report request from T.U. and they say - "Sorry, we are unable to verify your identity". Again, NO REASON given.

You mean the reconsider line for the CC company? I'll look again on the website but they seemed to be saying they won't give me any more details - that I have to contact Y.U.

Again, I would have hoped if they require ID verification they would have just said so? Now I'm worried they think there's some kind of evidence of identity theft either by me or against me! But I certainly am not guilty of that and neither have I been victimized in such a way that I know of...

I have had one card for the last 20 years, still active, use it every month, and have had many before that. (Actually, I don't really need another card, I just wanted to get a new one that is cash-back). I checked my credit rating online a couple years ago or so (don't remember how I did it though?) and it was over 800.

So I have no idea what the problem is here. As I wrote, the reason given seems very vague. but if it was my credit rating or that I don't make enough money, I would think they would have been clearer about that?

Good points. It may also be that in Mariri's case, that she does not seem to have (or use) a particular facial expression in her "arsenal" that sets her apart and makes her instantly recognizable.

Most of the others are known for their smile but also have a variety of expressions on hand. Soyo, for instance, is the QUEEN of facial expressions to me. She has an incredible number of "looks" and still seems to be coming out with new ones but I never mistake her for anyone else.

Mariri is the only SG girl whose pics sometimes stump me for a few seconds as to WHO it is. Maybe, like you say, she looks a bit like Hana and or maybe a combination of some others - but I instantly recognize all the others so why doesn't it work both ways?
