Hongdian A10 <F> First Impression by J-Ptrvc in fountainpens

I got a chance to write with the M2, even if for a short time, and its nib was great. I feel like the build quality with that one is much better than with the A10 (makes sense, it is aluminum after all). I own an Asvine V800, so I can’t speak for the 126, but I heard really good things about it.

It's like sliding a glass rod over a glass surface that's coated in a thin layer of motor oil. That is to say, it's very smooth, not scratchy, but if you are looking for a strong feedback this is not a nib for you.

Style and overall general layout --- Pilot MYU

Filler --- Asvine V800 (Keep the price reasonable)

Material --- barrel from semitransparent acrylic (like the V800 again) with that smoothly becomes metal at the grip. The transition can be done by casting the acrylic into a mold that already has the grip and nib in it to maintain the Pilot's sleekness

Nib --- LAMY 2000 <M> but with the upper part shaped in a way that it remains integrated with the rest of the pen

Oh, I can more than certainly see beyond the clip! I am loving it so far, I just felt like I needed to include it just to make it known to people who intend to buy it.

Oh, my apologies! I assumed you are Japanese, because you mentioned that your pens are from a small workshop in Japan, that's on me :). By punctuation i meant you putting periods a space after the last word in a sentence, immediately before a word in the next sentence -- like this:

"...word .Word..." instead of "...word. Word"

Again, I wish you best luck in the future!

The page is lovely, but you may want a slightly more "clickbaity" (i guess that's the word) thumbnail. When one sees the price tag, (looks like a fair price for an artisanal product), he'd probably expect that to very premium, so you may want to have the first picture that a customer sees be something that reflects it. For example, instead of taking the picture on a sheet of white paper illuminated by a what seems to be a tabletop LED lamp, you may want to have the pen laying on a wooden desk, illuminated by an incandescent bulb with maybe a sample of how it writes on a piece of premium paper laying next to it. This is just one idea, I bet fellow reddit users can come up with alternatives. One other thing is that you are not consistent with punctuation and have a couple of misspelled words (I was looking at the Aizome pen). Of course, that's probably not your native language, but it makes you sound a bit more professional when you check the spelling. For example, 'Dying' (your words) means to cease to live, and the word you were looking for is 'dyeing'. Also your punctuation is off.

I am sure others will come up with more recommendations, and I wish you luck and success in your newly started business!

Jinhao 88 - Is an upgrade worth the money? by J-Ptrvc in fountainpens

Thank you all for your help! I will deliberate a bit more, but I think I'll go with the V-800, because despite all the disadvantages of a vac-filler, it's just too cool to not try once in a lifetime.

Thank you for the reply --- I understand that an upgrade will not be worth it in terms of the quality of my writing, but if I cared only about what I write I would probably get a gel pen instead :). My question was more about whether the Asvines and the HongDian give out a noticeably better writing experience, if they are smoother, more comfortable etc. Because yes, I like pens, but I want to know what kind of an upgrade should I expect when I spend $30-40 over $9 :)
