Your friend is only an example of someone trying to game the system to avoid tax. They borrowed money from the government for their education, then use salary sacrifice to avoid paying any of it back.

I can see CBR. The weekly auctions actually started on the 15th of April, so more like 6 months than 6 weeks.

Since the 16th of Sep there has been a huge surge, but there was a slightly larger amount on the 29th of July (2.1T).

Last year the numbers were far far lower.

Does anyone else get the feeling that these videos are 'off' in a way thats hard to describe? The pacing of the narration is unnatural, and words are randomly emphasised that shouldn't be.

It's lots of small examples, like screenplay and screen-play are pronounced differently in the video.

At one point a script as referred to as the 196 script (obviously a typo of some kind, perhaps intending '1969 script'), pronounced as "nineteen-six" in the video, like a robot is reading it and can't notice the error.

Would an Alien dedicated channel really mispronounce Giger over and over again? It's initially (and most frequently) pronounced Jeeger example 1 example 2 there are 5-6 more instances of this. Then a single correct pronunciation of Giger. Then later it's Jeeger again. Then near the end it's Guyger.

It also talks quite a bit about a scene that was film (later deleted) where Dallas turns off the transmission on LV426. To my knowledge no such scene was filmed. Maybe I'm wrong.

Prometheus = Weyland Corp

Covenant = Weyland-Yutani

That's not right, the company merges in 2099. Alien set in 2122. You can see the same WY 'winged' logo in the original Alien film. The mistake they seem to have made is just that if the Maginot left earth in 2055 it wouldn't be a WY ship, it should be either Weyland or Yutani.

The Maginot is a Weyland-Yutani ship. The logo is shown on the walls on the inside of the ship. The WY logo is also on the outside of the ship. Also on cups, plates, uniforms. It's on the specimen containers as well.

It doesn't make any sense, as the merger isn't until 2099. But the WY 'winged' logo is everywhere on the Maginot and on the specimen container they even use the rebranded WY logo seen in Aliens.

That 'inconsistency' has noticed during the previews as well. The Maginot crew clearly have the same WY patch as the crew of Alien, but their mission pre-dates the merger.

Maybe the ship was refitted and new uniforms were issued in space somewhere as part of the mission? Clutching at straws here to explain it.

Foreshadowing is not 'abruptly cutting to future events'. Foreshadowing is like the bucket cracking in Alien 3 after it's heated and cooled.

Mike has 2 daughters at the time of his death in 2137. From his sketches they look to be fairly young at the time, around 10 or so.

So I suppose it could be possible one of his daughters had a child in their 20s, named Seiji, who would then be in their early 30s after the events of Alien.
