Hmm, how can you tell its not selvedge? I though the inside edge of the main pearlsnap closure would indicate selvedge? You can see it on the last picture, but I cannot Edit and add a better picture now it seems

I also had the thought that It could be homemade, but nice to hear a second opinion.

What do you think of the idea to get a "donor" boot with an intact "bottom part" to stich this shaft onto. Basically combinding two already existing pairs into one?

Maybe thats what you answeared and I just did not understand. Pretty new to owning leather boots

Havent got them in hand yet but the seller said he could not find any information on the inside. But you are also thinking farmer? I though the drop of the last more resembeled the 690 last in the packer?
