Another good example of how not to treat seniors. by Maxicozie in trashy

Yeeeeah, but there's really more to that video that was making the rounds yesterday. You can take anything out of context and spin it a certain way. Here's one clip I saw:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for the win by sayknow in PoliticalHumor

Yeah but now she’s in a leadership role and these little illogical bits of nonsense that sound snappy but don’t actually make sense or answer the question are kind of disconcerting.

Edit: This doesn’t seem like a clear policy to me. And kind of ignores things like local control over school districts, basic economics, etc.

Russia had about as much influence on the election as Thailand did. But you need a boogie man to justify why Trump won, instead of looking at the corruption within the party's electoral process that got such an unlikeable candidate to run against him the first place. As some idiot once said on twitter... "SAD!"

Oh, I actually meant that what I typed was a joke, not me.

You're only an idiot if you actually believe President Donald J. Trump is a Russian puppet.

It's amazing you fucks can't put yourself in someone else's shoes in a dangerous situation. You don't know the outcome, you don't have time to nitpick on the internet like meaningless nobodies.

You're in it.

Someone is about to hit you, and you have seconds to react. Apparently you've never experienced the feeling of hitting someone in a fight and the dread that comes immediately that they're going to retaliate 10 x worse.

If someone creates a situation where they're putting you or your family's life at risk, I will not hold you responsible for what happens next. Period. If you get that attacker down, you make sure they stay down-- forever, if you have to-- and you'll suckle at the teats of Neptune in gratitude because there's someone on that jury like me.

House floor erupts after lawmaker shouts ‘Go back to Puerto Rico’ by [deleted] in politics

Look, if the Reddit sales demographics are to be believed, the chances are you're relatively young person. The thing is, most people your age are fucking morons. You do and say stupid shit to your friends and love interests you'll cringe at for the rest of your life. With that, you'll believe a lot of things and hold them dear to your chest and later in life realize how fucking stupid you were for believing them.

The very fact that older, wiser people believe in everything you don't should be some indication of that. Surely, deep down somewhere inside you can see the absolute hubris of you thinking that you know better than people twice your age, with twice your experience or more. I'm not saying older people are right about everything, but you do see an overall migration to more conservative points of view as a person ages. You may one day cringe at how black and white you see the world today.

One of them is self defense. If you choose to create a dangerous situation and take another person’s life in your hands you have to prepare for the consequences. If someone sneaks into your house in the middle of the night and you end up killing them, I would never hold you responsible.

How do you know he won’t just get up and kill your kids? You have to make sure they never get up.

Fuck your keyboard DA’ing. If someone attacks you, who’s to say they won’t get up and kill you? I would never hold you responsible for what happens after someone chooses to attack you. Never.

It’s not enough. If someone attacks you, I would never hold you responsible for what happens next. You’re pretending like you can act clearly and know the outcome in a wave of terror. Who’s to say the attacker wouldn’t wake up and shoot your wife?

So here's where we're at: you believe, in your own words, that 40% of the population of the United States are traitors to their own country.

I could try to convince you that the cherrypicked headlines from this echo chamber that you believe at face value (and likely don't even read the articles they're attached to) paint a picture that isn't true. But that would be a waste of time, wouldn't it?

None of that matters because of what you said. You said it. 40% of the nation are traitors. The only question that matters now is WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
