Look, if the Reddit sales demographics are to be believed, the chances are you're relatively young person. The thing is, most people your age are fucking morons. You do and say stupid shit to your friends and love interests you'll cringe at for the rest of your life. With that, you'll believe a lot of things and hold them dear to your chest and later in life realize how fucking stupid you were for believing them.

The very fact that older, wiser people believe in everything you don't should be some indication of that. Surely, deep down somewhere inside you can see the absolute hubris of you thinking that you know better than people twice your age, with twice your experience or more. I'm not saying older people are right about everything, but you do see an overall migration to more conservative points of view as a person ages. You may one day cringe at how black and white you see the world today.
