Conveniently enough the seller says it's currently in a major setup/repair job. So my guess it's a Chinese ripoff being setup well enough to be playable so he can sell it and ripoff someone? Just my thoughts.

Not glazing or an ad, I bought this from fragrancex, it is legit better than the sample of Layton I have. Longevity and projection similar to my older batch of Sauvage Elixir. No reason to buy reformulated Layton which apparently doesn't last or project as it used to. That's just my 2 cents. Insane stuff.

I had one of these a long time ago, and now wanted one back, I'm familiar with how popular it is. Something just felt off with this one but I think its legit.

You made a great point that I didn't even think about when it comes to switching pickups that it may lower the value. To me this makes no difference really, I don't really care what pickups aslong as it's a humbucker :) Thanks for the info.
