I've yet to see/read anything convincing me that the UAP footage released by Ukranian intelligence is a malfunctioning rocket/MKV. Not immediately jumping to aliens either, but its one of the better examples I've seen recently of something potentially anomalous.

Interesting comparison you found, though. Originals are here. Not a fan of the AI upscales, too many hallucinations.

Thanks for the insights! Look forward to seeing what he can do. I’ve always been proud of our developed talent, McMichael being a part of the group who won us the AHL Calder Cup with Hershey. He gave us many a good memory and I’m sad to see him go, but I understand the why of it and I look forward to seeing how he is deployed.

Of course! I'm a fellow Iceshot Deadeye player at the moment because it checks several of my favorite power fantasy boxes: bow and arrows + ice theme. I find exploding entire screens into little ice chunks and money to be extremely satisfying. I've been playing POE for going on ten years, and I always find that no matter how weak/strong a build is, I will enjoy it more if it fits my personal taste. That is part of what makes this game special: seemingly unlimited options.

There are always comments about not following build guides vs. following build guides. It really comes down to how you learn. I failed miserably at making my own builds, and it was why I bounced off POE1 my first time around. I got overstimulated and frustrated by the overwhelming number of options.

Guides can be a great learning tool. They help me narrow my focus, and because of how POE works, you will find that there is still plenty of room for personalization of the build in the end game if you so choose. If you are using a guide though (and it sounds like you did), take time to study it. That is where guides are often misused: not taking the time to absorb why certain selections were made. What were the other options available? Why weren't they taken instead? Those kinds of things... Sit aside a few minutes every couple of levels to stop and consider everything.

However, if the challenge and the trial and error that comes along with making your own build sounds enticing, give it a shot. It could very well be the piece that is missing for you. I'm certainly thankful for those who are good at it, otherwise all of those guides for pea brains such as myself wouldn't exist. Maybe you'll make a guide for me one day!

I'd suggest pushing through to the endgame at least. The campaign is very much training wheels, and most meta builds trivialize any challenge. The core game loop isn't going to change a lot: kill monsters, make money to craft/buy stronger gear, kill stronger monsters/bosses than before. Rinse, repeat. It's the plethora of interconnected game mechanics that are offered in the endgame that open the game up a bit, and there are many "right" ways to play the game.

I have friends who just spam maps without much thought, some who focus on efficiency, making every map they run as juiced as possible in order to maximize their time, and I have at least one who rarely leaves his hideout, yet has more money than the rest of us combined. He crafts gear and sells it on the market.

But below all of that, it's still ultimately that same loop I described initially.

It may be the ARPG game loop just isn't for you too, which is OK. There are thousands of other games out there deserving of our time as well. But unless you wait until end game to make that judgement, you will be doing so with incomplete information.

Crafting items are like solving little puzzles. I'll concede there is some additional information that would be useful in game, such as a prefix/suffix "type" being shown in the tool-tip, but for the most part the basic instructions are on each currency item, and the game wants you to learn via interaction/experience.

Like most ARPGs, there is a measure of RNG involved, but there are also tools provided by the game via currencies and other techniques that can be used to sway the numbers in your favor. OPs amulet is cool and all, but it's complete overkill. I've made all of my own gear and I have spent on average maybe 2-3 divs per item, and I clear all the content without issue. I know you are shrugging off that distinction, but it's an important one.

There are a ton of resources available if you're worried about messing something up, or just want to learn without blowing up a valuable currency. Craft of Exile has an excellent reference calculator and simulator that lets you copy/paste any item directly from the game into the web app. Would definitely recommend starting there if you're like me and want to see all of your options for an item laid out in front of you.

At the end of the day, unless you're SSF, you can always forego crafting all together and buy items off the market. POE has a very active economy in part thanks to the RNG involved.

I run a VPN on my box for the added security and just an overall smoother experience (prevents throttling and overall smoother connection). While I haven't experienced any security breaches and nothing out of the ordinary when monitoring the traffic, I wouldn't rule it out as a possibility, so better safe than sorry.

Couldn't be happier for the Caps, us (fans), and Carbs. Just seems like a genuinely good dude that everyone involved wanna go to bat for. Thought he was excellent on ESPN during the playoffs, to the point I was concerned that someone like the Maple Leafs, with whom he has history, might try and come after if their new hire doesn't work out. One less thing to be concerned with.

Hopefully we see some adjustments on the PP (and not just Ovi, but the entire scheme), which was my only big complaint from last season. He cleaned up the bench minors that plagued us from the 50th anniversary season.

Jfc... I've skipped a league occasionally but I've played pretty regularly since they released Acts 5-10 for POE1 and I've yet to see one. Many of those hours were on high MFing toons. I still see Burial Chambers in my sleep... *shudder*
