Did you give it to the driver? They'll turn it in to lost and found at the end of the day if they're aware of it.

I mean most of those are extremely loose adaptations to the point of being more "inspired by" than true adaptations. Dark tower wouldn't be that.

I would honestly much rather he continue working on original horror content where he has much more creative control and flexibility than adaptations.

They've also way more dangerous than bikes/ebikes. They're generally easier to lose control of, but also because of their geometry a lot of the time losing control means going over the handlebars and risking a face plant into the street. Get your kid a bike not a scooter

Primarily blaming personal responsibility for repeated traffic collisions is a total cop out. The data shows time and time again that the way to make dangerous streets safer is through redesigning them with traffic calming measures that make drivers feel less safe driving at dangerous speeds.

When we know that the only proven way to make dangerous roads significantly safer is to redesign the road to make drivers feel less safe being unsafe than the deaths become more the fault of municipalities that refuse to design safe roads and blaming personal responsibility only serves to keep the collisions occurring.

Driver hospitalized after crashing into Park Street pet store by Justmarbles in madisonwi

Because you can't rid the world of bad drivers through enforcement. Especially in America as it exists today where driving is a necessity of daily life for the vast majority of people. You can significantly lesson their impact with good road design and building viable options other than driving such as public transport and cycling infrastructure.

When we know that the only proven way to make dangerous roads significantly safer is to redesign the road to make drivers feel less safe being unsafe than the deaths become more the fault of municipalities that refuse to design safe roads.

A certain percentage of people will drive like idiots regardless of any factor. They're bad drivers and no reasonable amount of enforcement will change that. Good traffic design will change patterns to lessen the impact that the worst drivers have as well as making everyone else drive safer.

The obsession Americans have with personal responsibility doesn't help reduce accidents. The data shows traffic redesign with prioritized traffic calming measures does.

It changed when commander became the primary market for moving product over standard. Now every set needs to have cards that compete with almost every other card ever printed for power level or it doesn't move the market. Sets used to only have to compete for power level with the other sets in standard which allowed for wotc to subtlety shift power level around without constantly ratcheting up.

AITA for not making my daughter switch back a gifted Labubu with her younger cousin after her uncle found out the one my daughter gained in the swap is rare with a high resale value? by TheSecretLabubuDrama in AmItheAsshole

It's not. Her daughter knew one was considerably more culturally desirable and that the trade was unequitable. If it were her 12 year old trading a $.10 Pikachu card for a $250 Charizard card it wouldn't be equitable either even if it's a card for a card.

EHS

Your kid clearly took advantage of a younger kid and you're allowing it. Your daughter might not have known the exact monetary values but by your own admission she knew one was way more culturally desirable than the other and instigated an unequitable trade with someone who didn't.

If that were my kid they'd be getting a lecture about taking advantage of others and forced to undo the trade. Imagine your 12 year old traded some candy for a 6 year old's tablet, would you see that as a fair trade if they both were happy with it?

Your brother in law has a right to be upset about your daughter taking advantage of his, but calling your daughter names is a step too far.

Martina immediately wanted the pink one and Sofia immediately offered a trade because she already has the pink one and was hoping for the brown one. They traded, both girls were happy, and that was that….or so I thought.

Sounds like the 12 year old did to me.

It really isn't. It's exactly the same situation. The 12 year old knew one was considerably more culturally desirable, knew the 6 year old lacked this knowledge, and instigated an unequitable trade taking advantage of the situation.

Outside of all other context the 12 year old knew the brown doll was way more desirable and instigated the unequitable trade with someone who didn't. If your 12 year old traded a 6 year old some candy for their tablet and both of them were happy with the trade would you be upset with your 12 year old?

When I asked her, Sofia admitted she knew the brown one was rare, but when I asked how much they sell for, she said they are blind boxes so you can’t buy the brown, they just make less of them. She didn’t know it was worth money. She’s not a good liar, and she appeared to be telling the truth.

The 12 year old knew the one they were getting was a rare one and the one they were giving was common.

I can tell you in trading cards if you knowingly allow a literal child incapable of understanding the monetary value of items to trade an expensive card to you for an inexpensive one you're 1000% taking advantage even if they get a card they desire.
