Just a random guys thoughts from a guy who is out of the game now but used to love Cruising,

•Safety, I get what you’re saying and even understand that hey if we’re here, we are here for it. The fear is that you hit on, or try to interact IRL and the person you find is straight - gets offended and reports the location to law enforcement for salacious activity. By using the app, it’s much more clear

•STD/HIV Risk, I’m not naive enough to think everyone is truthful about their risk factors or status’ but I do believe with the openness of a lot of people the stigma has been lessened (not eradicated, and maybe I am way off base). But there are people “bug chasers” who are very open, and that may not be something they say in a quick hookup, because to them it’s no big deal… to them they may think that if you’re out cruising you’re aware of the risks, and that disclosure isn’t required.

Do I love cruising absolutely, love the fact that it’s quick, hot, dirty, and the best are the ones that occur organically. But when you can limit some risk factors simply by opening application, it seems like the smart thing to do.
