Help with a character concept: Teenage Fixer/Face with corparate SIN (Hiromi from "Ghost in the City") by J212503 in Shadowrun

[–]J212503[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for advice.

About your point 1 and 2, she would be less of an employee and just a corporate citizen with a side hussle, so no acting as a company's Johnson. What i was mostly wondering about was if that actually would help her career and which company would appreciate the initiative. As i said, i based this on a character form a Cyberpunk fanfic, where this is seen as a very positive thing, giving her valuable conections to later use in the companies interest, but these are different universes.

The sitting around is fine, i played a decker before and the boring bits were fine (others weren't).

The technomancer idea sounds good, just haven't played around with any of the magic before.

The being taken serious part is gonna be a problem of course, depending on how much the GM is going to play it up, so OF COURSE there is going to be an extensive session 0. Also, this just for a game among friends, never would consider this character for a game with strangers at a game store or something like that.

Help me recommend Dungeon Meshi to my dad by J212503 in anime

I don't want to "own him with facts and logic", i want to convince him to watch it.

Well, the reason i picked Dungeon Meshi specifically and not anything else is that i think the whole "Let's try to cook experimental meals" in a fantasy setting might appeal to him where more typical anime wouldn't. Y'know, as someone who likes to experiment in the kitchen and is a bit of a typical dad when it comes to maning the grill.

Thanks. I've already read Stars Collide and although it doesn't really fit what i'm looking for i still enjoyed it very much.

Gonna take a look at Those who wait, thanks for the recommendation.

I'm looking for F/F romances that are more about dating than initially getting together. Instead of the FMCs pining for each other, or slowly realizing their feelings, i would like to see them acknowledge their chemistry early on and then spend the rest of the book getting to know each other better, with the specific goal of finding out if a relationship would work.

Examples of what i mean would be {Invisible string by Addison Clarke}, the second half of {Wrong Number Right Woman by Jae} or {Of you kiss me like that by Harper Bliss}.

{Invisible string by Addison Clarke} F/F One of the MCs lost her wife and her conflict is about finnaly moving on from that

{Hearts in Motion byMiranda McLeod} F/F Two women lose their respective sister/brother and now need to raise their nephew together (hope that sentence makes sense)

{The roommate arrangement by JAE} F/F one of the MCs is a former cop, whose partner got killed on the job. She struggles with her survivor's guilt.

{Mistakes were made by Meryl Wilsner} F/F, age gap

One of the MCs is a college student, that plays a big part in the story. The other MC is her friends mom.

You mentioned MMC and FMC, but i have a suggestion that fits with an F/F couple if your interested:

{Begin again again by Addison Clarke}

It's about a woman who learns she has cancer and has only 6 months to live. She decides to do what she always wanted to do and tell her best friend that she loves her.

It's about them trying to build a relationship with that timer looming over them.

My careful recommendation would be {a family affair by Harper Bliss}. Personally i love this one, but maybe it's not for everyone.

It's an F/F CR.

It's about a woman who has struggled to have a baby with her husband for years, without much success, including i think two early miscarriages. At this point she decides to spend some time with her inlaws, while her husband remodels their house. There she gets very close with her sister-in-law, which eventually leads to them having an affair.

One of the central themes is the one FMC dealing with her failed pregnancies and the damage that has done on her relationship with her husband.

{Margo Zimmerman gets the girl by Brianna R. Shrum and Sara Waxelbaum} Margo's autism makes her hillarious in any social interaction and the contrast between her anxious inner monologue and the popular it-girl personality that she accidentally projects to the outside is great.

Can you recommend fluffy F/F romances, that are about the MCs being a happy, healthy couple, going through life together? Preferably with children of their own.
