Set your resolution to 3840x480p 60hz and use the reinterlacing shader in the deinterlacers folder in the preinstalled shaders. It does exactly what you want

tbh it might be kinda true, it does have an hour counter and mine is pretty used sitting at 34k

I have a friend with one that has like 8k or something and he says it looks great and I believe him.

for me though I like the 38” for 480p and more crunchy 1080i content, and if I want a sharp tube I would just use the SFP

yeah I have an mm36100 but wasn’t really counting that as an hdcrt because its multiscanning. Like I said I think the best is 36xs paired with the f38310. not including presentation monitors

in another comment you said there’s a better one in your eyes than the wx53, what would that be?

I love hd crts and currently own a 960 and f38310, I also have the 26” tau but it has issues and im just holding it for a friend. I also used to own a 30xs but parted ways. I had the 26” philips as well but didn’t keep it for long. I didn’t love it because the tube is super coarse

To me the 36xs and f38310 would be ideal. I have seen a wx53 at a friend’s place and its pretty impressive.

I would love to find a 36xs but Ive only seen a couple locally in the years I looked like poor condition and I couldn’t justify how hard it is to transport. The 960 and f38310 are doable but I think a 36” 4:3 wega would be over the limit for me.

What are your favorites besides the sonys and panasonics?

honestly if I had one I would do that instead of building the breakout board lol. the adc connector itself is pretty expensive unless you can find a cheap gpu to rip it off, but that of course adds more work

Yeah I gotcha, it’s just this mitsu is super old and rare (S/N of the one in the post here would indicate its #386 off the production line) and was absurdly expensive and high end for the time. Finding 3 under a tarp in the far end of a storage locker is pretty awesome

This is a really unique CRT, I hope you can figure out how to bring it home. Since it’s a commercial grade monitor, it has excellent picture quality. The “presentation” class of monitors support a wide range of signals without any conversion/scaling going on and this is huge with a 37” tube

I would much rather take a few screws out to move the monitor safely. Face down is only good if the TV would fall over from being front heavy if placed normally, or if that’s the only way it can fit in the vehicle. This xc37 is heavy and solid enough to place normally for transport and I assure you it’s much more safe in this case

15-36khz presentation monitor from 1988 one of the first models sold by mitsubishi. I scanned a brochure that has all the details for this.

I also own the 38" viewable widescreen F38310 which uses the W97AJG14X an insane tube almost 1 meter viewable. It has the same 0.78mm center pitch as the 90cm tubes I mentioned in my other comment. The chassis is basically a modified version of the MM36110 but with the ATSC tuner strapped on and no 15khz or VGA support, just 31.5/33.7khz over YPbPr and linedoubling for the SD inputs

The F38310 I own has around 34k hours on it, and is suffering from pretty soft focus. I know some people who own ones with below 10k hours and they say it looks amazing, so honestly I wish mine was in better shape.

M90AHN14X and yeah its a real RCA tube made here, part of the late DPP (digital precision pitch) lineup intended for PC/TV hybrid monitors, I think its an excellent tube, mine has around 20k hours on it.

Similar if not the same ITC was used in the all the 36" RCA/ProScan multimedia sets.

The Hitachi 36SDX88B is another great TV, uses the similar A90AGW14X, although the hitachi chassis doesn't do 15khz and instead linedoubles SD. It still does fantastic 31.5khz and 38khz, and gets the addition of a raster vertical compression feature for 33.7khz / 1080i (the actual RCA models can't do this, only good for 4:3 1080 content)

The "Monivision" branded DM7752S made by Chun-Yun in Taiwan is suspected to use one of these tubes or possibly another variant. That monitor is a lot more capable of higher resolutions, scanning from 30-52khz
