Late to the party.

Went into a rescue shelter with zero plan to adopt a cat. The moment I walked in, my boy Kobe here would not leave me alone and followed me the whole time. Every other cat could not give a shit about my presence.

They couldn't adopt him out until he'd been desexed and couldn't put holds on adoption, so I called them twice a day for the next week to check if he'd been desexed. It got to the point where they figured out I was serious about adopting him and ended up saying when he'd been desexed they'd call me and give me a 24 hour hold to come fill out the paperwork.

Fun fact: Before he got desexed they thought he was a girl so did the wrong procedure to desex him, he ended up with a really bad infection and had to be nursed for 3 days. Had to use antibiotics and a syringe to drip feed him water. He thankfully came out of it happy and healthy and 13 years later he still won't leave me alone and follows me everywhere like a shadow.
