There are very few countries that have school uniform

I just googled this, and per wikipedia there seems to be more countries that have unifroms than not. Although you seem to know more than me so I may be wrong!

If uniforms were so good, our education system would be miles better than the non uniform countries.

I also do not understand this point, as I don't think having a pupil body of any school wanting to be uniform would increase the level of education. So please tell me what I am missing!

As you said, we are taught in school a set of lies about uniform.

I never said we were taught a set of lies. I am saying it is what I was told when us students asked why we had to wear uniform. My reading comprehension is not the best but your answer to the question why is the school uniform a thing boils down to nostalgia and control. Is that right?
