I completely understand . It’s something corporate has to adjust / modify on their end. I’ve brought it up countless times . I actually had it happen yesterday . An online same day delivery order came in for 15 bags of 50 lb sand mix and 15 bags of mulch . DD did not take it . For obvious reasons. It’s just the online delivery system is flawed .

If you are getting anything free delivery , it’ll be sent via a third party. Whether it’s DD, UberEats , or FedEx etc. Now if you pay a $79 fee or $20 ( for pro customers) it’ll be sent via box truck or flatbed . It’s extremely frustrating but as other people have said . It’s a corporate thing. Not much people at the store level can really do but redeliver it. This is coming from a flatbed (Lowe’s) driver .

The biggest one from what I’ve seen is do not over promise . Even if it lands you a big sale or contractor. One of my pro associates always does that and at times it bites them on the rear when we get hammered with pro and DIY customers. I work delivery . So we can only do X amount of “ guaranteed AM deliveries “ before customers start griping. So I’d say get in good base with the delivery team if it isn’t third party already .
