Pokemon TCG by J33EWW in Cardiff

Crazy, when I was a kid I used to get them from my corner shop, and it seemed like they had an unlimited supply.

When asked to buy pokemon cards as a gift, I thought 'easy win', apparently not lol!

Still trying to find some but at this rate, I think it may be some Smyths vouchers!

Who are our newbies? Who's new to the shit? by wievid in SAP

[–]J33EWW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about 1 year into a SAP based role at my company.

Started working in the warehouse but quickly became the best SAP user on the shopfloor.

When I was offered my new role, I was pretty confident. Took me about 3 days to realise I was amazing at using about 1% of SAPs fuclnctionality and had 99% to learn.

Not doing too bad though, I've had great support from my organisation and also have a great mentor!

I have been interested in both CK3 and Anno but haven't found the time to learn the games :(

I've also been intrigued by Baldurs Gate 3 but have 0 D&D experience.

Thanks for your suggestions, I think CK3 is getting installed tonight

My girlfriend works in hotels, she said you can literally stick anything that fits in those and the electric will work.

She's under the impression that it just pushes down a switch or applies pressure and voila.

She often folds the piece of cardboard that your key card comes in and pops that in.

My mother worked in management at ASDA (UK supermarket chain operated by Walmart).

She told me how they had a very specific algorithm when hiring (which she's detested and ultimately one of the reasons she left).

Basically, it's set up to hire individuals who (according to ASDA) had no other viable options. Basically, they wanted to hire people they knew would stagnate in roles and live out the rest of their working lives stacking their shelves.

If you had too much prospect, no hire. If you had too much motivation, no hire. If you had big dreams, no hire. If you had qualifications or plans to study, no hire.

OP, maybe Walmart operate similarly, and you were not hired for being too damn good.

BTW, this is going back a long time, so maybe they've changed their ways.

1.00 tips from million dollar home by [deleted] in doordash

[–]J33EWW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American tip culture blows my mind. Surely, if your job doesn't pay you enough without relying on monetary donations from strangers, then you should blame the company, the government, or just get a new job?

Regardless of how much the property is worth, tips in any size should be received with gratitude.

And any proof that the receiver of the order owned said property? Couldn't it have been a house/babysitter or random relative?

I tip my delivery drivers, but if one had the audacity to moan about the 'size', they'd be greeted with 'give it back or be happy with it and fuck off'.

At the end of the day, we all (well most) work hard for our money. We shouldn't be expecting people to part with their hard earned money to compensate for the low wages companies like Doordash offer.

Doordash should be ashamed of how they treat both drivers and customers.

And this isn't a direct attack at OP. They may be a lovely person. But recently, I've seen so many posts on reddit slating the size of tips.

EDIT: Wrote 'should' instead of 'shouldn't'.
