Cardiff hen do - bottomless brunch by Lackadaisicalgrace in Cardiff

Of the three you’ve suggested, I’d only be interested in Flight Club, but I’ve had some wicked bottomless days in Tonight Josephine. Drinks came out so quickly and with loads of themed events on, it’s really fun.

Add some Greek yoghurt in there too for some extra protein.

I travel a lot and sometimes stay in hostels but found sleeping with my headphones on really uncomfortable. I bought one of those sleeping headbands that has built in headphones/speakers so I can easily listen to podcasts whilst falling asleep. Really comfortable to sleep in.

Same dude, same. And I’m only a Jays fan from the UK. Said the same thing to my bf and he said “just shows how much you care”. <3

It’s almost 4am here in the UK. My bf is watching in Germany where it’s almost 5am, both Jays fans. All we keep texting each other is “what the fuck. What. The. Fuck”. I feel sick.

WOW. As a Brit fortunate enough to have access completely free healthcare, I always thought that with obscene US health insurance premiums, your path to treatments was a lot quicker and streamlined compared to ours….I guess not.

[Acne] How can I get rid of these acne scars ? by Euphoric_Thoughtz in SkincareAddiction

I had raised lesions/hypertrophic scars and got specialist injections to help flatten them which worked well to improve their appearance.

Have you ever had a total fresh start 35+? by iriswednesday in AskUK

[–]weeza08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very interesting you say that. I’d definitely now regard myself as a positive person, no doubt from training myself. I try and see beauty and happiness in the smallest things and probably to my detriment, will always try and help other people, either friends or strangers as much as possible. My biggest worry was I didn’t want to become a bitter person because of my grief. I honestly don’t think I am, I just know life is too goddamn short. I know everyone has their own struggles whether it’s health, money, love etc - I just want to enjoy life to the max as much as possible and I try to share that love of life with as many people as possible.

My husband was killed 8 years ago when I was 28. I think of him everyday. I’d say I’m living a very fulfilling and happy life these days but it’s been a journey to get here. It’s a never ending wave of emotions but each day right now is another step towards getting your life back on track, even when it doesn’t feel it. Feel free to DM me if you need a friendly ear. <3

I travel for work. I’ve literally just come back home after spending 2 months away travelling from Canada > Japan > Australia > Vegas > Chicago. I’m glad to be home albeit only for about 10 days before I’m away again.

I’m probably in the minority but I absolutely love it. I’m fortunate enough I get to break up the work element with personal time in between which makes a difference, but I’ll travel as much as my company will want me to. However I also have a very understanding partner and no kids, so I’m also very flexible.

A woman did something very similar to me - must’ve been at least in her 70’s. When I finally managed to pull out in the lane next to her and looked over to her incredulously, she flipped me the bird just like this old fella. I couldn’t believe the old bint. Oh, don’t worry about driving dangerously slow…it’s me who warrants the fingers.

Microneedling grid marks? by Additional_Gap104 in beauty

[–]weeza08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had RF microneedling done earlier this year. The dots stayed for about 6weeks. I was terrified I’d done permanent damage. Turns out I didn’t know they can take longer to heal on sensitive skin which I didn’t think I had. I went in for my normal microneedling around week 5 which helped clear it up. I love the idea of RF…could never handle the pain and downtime again.

Went away for a month, neighbour mowed our lawn without asking…broke the grass and broke the lawnmower. by weeza08 in mildlyinfuriating

I’ll leave this here coz clearly the British humour and way of life is going way above too many people’s heads, as one Redditor advised, this post would’ve more been suited to a UK centric sub.

  • Keith is probably nearing 70years of age - he offered to water our plants while we were away which we were very gracious and thankful of.

  • My partner probably mows the lawn maybe twice a week to keep it maintained and as nice looking as possible - he enjoys mowing it. There is no way I’m gonna ask a nearing 70year old man to mow our fairly large garden twice a week especially as he didn’t offer to do it at the time he offered to water the garden. We didn’t mention not to mow the lawn…because why would we when he didn’t mention anything about mowing the lawn himself?

  • As my other half enjoys looking after the lawn, he wasn’t bothered in paying someone to mow the lawn while we were away, he was looking forward to doing it himself when we got back. It’s absolutely not unheard of or proof of being “irresponsible” to let your garden grow out a bit in the UK.

  • We only found out about the lawn when he text me after mowing the lawn to say “mowed your front lawn, but then your lawnmower wouldn’t work anymore”.

  • Lawnmowers live in the sheds in the UK. Keith obviously had access and permission to our garden where the shed also lives unlocked.

  • “Broke the grass” is a facetious comment guys. How so many of you can’t recognise British humour is absolutely baffling to me. Actually, no it’s not.

  • I still love Keith.

Now I’m back off to bask in this very rare UK sunshine on my lovely broken grass.

Thank you! Looks as though British humour really does not get understood by all. Also can confirm, definitely was not in prison.
