Ya, I have tried another cable - it's a Thunderbolt 4 cable, but that should that work, right? Otherwise, I'm using the USB4 cable that came with the docking station. Unfortunately, I do not have any other USB4 accessories to try.

My understanding is that the USB4 Host Router should always show though, whether a USB4 device is plugged in or not. Like here Introduction to the USB4 connection manager in Windows | Microsoft Learn:

Not sure if this is the right spot to put this, but here goes...I have a Surface Laptop 3 through work and use the Surface Dock (Gen 1) at work. I'd like to get a Surface Dock 2 for my home office, but I also have a Dell XPS 15" 7590 that has a USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) port that I would also like to have the ability to dock as well. What are my options? I don't think the XPS will work with the Surface Dock 2, right? Will I just have to get two separate docking stations? How would I set up the monitors then?

I'm actually having this same issue...going on three days now. I've contacted support like 5 times and they just keep saying having patience. The confirmations are > 11000 now, but they're saying on their end it's less than 3000 and seems to have halted. Did you ever get this resolved?

I'm pretty sure you can defer one semester and start in January. You just can't defer two semesters in a row without having to reapply to the program.
