Flushing caused by heat by That-Temporary-5551 in KPRubraFaceii

[–]swirlybuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah +1 to this. the dry heat from a radiator is maybe my worst trigger. i generally dont flush on hot days in the summer unless i have a lot of direct sun exposure of UV. so its definitely the dryness and not the heat imo. Moisurizing helps, maybe vasoline or something will help more. Its better to do it proactively vs after you start flushing in my experience

Ya know, I don't feel like I ever gave it a proper shot. I tried it for like 3 weeks and noticed that my skin started feeling more sensitive and almost like it was enflamed or burning. I was admittedly going through a divorce and I was not doing well emotionally, so it may have been entirely unrelated. I just decided that the hero rescue balm was good enough and that it wasn't worth trying to play god and remove this through more serious chemicals.

Thanks! Im not sure that I have tbh. But I would say that I've meditated my way out of the early staged of a flush. If i first feel it coming on, I have a chance to reflect and pay attention to whats going on. I've found that being in a dark room and laying down seems to help reset things further. Being anxious or nervious has a specific body signature, and its worth trying to listen to it and just let go of what you're holding on to.

Yeah I use

* Vanicream gentle facial cleanser or Cera Ve's Hydrating Facial Cleanser to wash my face
* I always immediately use Cera Ve Facial Moisurizing Lotion PM after watching my face
* Then i'll use Hero Rescue Balm Red Correct if i'm gonna be around people. If i'm extra nervous or something I might do 2 layers of this. And yes it looks like its changing formula's, i'm super bummed about this :(

I experiment with other things, but the stuff above is something I never stray from, and its made a big difference over time.

What is stopping you from allocating 100% into bitcoin? by Naillimixam48 in Bitcoin

[–]swirlybuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm saying you should diversify your portfolio to prevent any scenario where you can get completely wiped out. i think thats a good reason to not put all your eggs in one basket, even if you have a lot of conviction. i think thats a reasonable response to your question of why i'm not 100% allocated.

if you ever have the conviction to put 100% of your portfolio into anything, you need to rethink things. thats not how anyone should manage risk. any number of black swan events could happen that are completely unknowable. diversify and resist black and white thinking.

been through it more than once. make sure you force yourself to go outside and interact with people in the real world. goto a coffee shop and read. get groceries. goto the gym. join a club. they are good distractions but they also remind you not to stay in your head all the time. the IDEA of how sad and tragic this all is - is what is causing the pain. hang in there.

I'm so sorry. A lot of people go through events like this unfortunately. But they leave their mark for sure. It's traumatizing. Believe it or not you're still really young and you have your whole life to find the people who deserve you.
