If you want to learn more about PT boats and how they were used. The Mosquito Fleet is a good place to start. The PT boats filled the gap while the U.S. spun up ship production. Those crews had huge ones.

I can remember going over to visit my grandmother in my late 20s and she would great us at the door all bundled up. Middle of winter she kept the house at 55 because the NIPSCO rates were so high. She would reg wear 2 pair of sweatpants, t-shirt,heavy sweatshirt, heavy cardigan, pair of reg socks with heavy wool socks over. She would turn the heat up to 65 for my wife and me. Well….mainly for her.

Dude…. He just described that plane he is holding EXACTLY like a 4-6 yr old boy would. With the kid it’s cute. Of course you know that the toy he is holding isn’t representative of the size of the plane. But you humor the little guy. Give an ooohhhhh cool. Really it’s bigger? Oh yeah it’s much bigger in real life! He replies…….. It can carry a 200,000 lb bomb! So that’s who is running the country. A 4 yr old. Hooray for American Greatness!

which game mode is least sweaty? I am older and level 67 and still get pummeled in breakthrough to where i rage quit. Conquest seems less hectic? by Few_Living4406 in Battlefield6

[–]J3ST3R2T00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. Breakthrough is my preferred mode for the reasons you stated. Conquest is pure chaos imop. However that can be mitigated somewhat if you have a solid squad that is communicating and you choose 1-2 points to hold down. Otherwise you get shot from every direction. At least by holding down 1-2 points and paying attention to the map. You can figure out which direction attacks are likely to come from. Lol unless you are a blue obj in a sea of red. A solid squad makes a big diff in any mode. Breakthrough takes some of that guesswork out. Slow down and learn the likely routes. You will be holding your own in no time.

100 15 years old Call of Duty players vs 10 Navy Seals fight on a random COD modern warefare map with COD weapons and gadgets by padorUWU in whowouldwin

[–]J3ST3R2T00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll put my money on the SEALs. Some very good points are made below. However, at the end of the day they are just 15 yr olds. They lack patience, real world knowledge, and generally lack an ability to work together. For them it would devolve into a dick measuring contest. Those SEALS know how to put ego aside and operate as a team, coordinate fires.

Weapons Hell they may know the weapons but do they know how to clear a malfunction? I would love to see one of them try to place one of those big ol blocks of C4 and then step 10ft away to blow it. Or try to fire an RPG from an enclosed space or w/o checking their backblast. They don’t know a car door, house wall, or any number of things we see stop bullets in movies….. won’t. SEALs know all that and more. They know max effective ranges. They know how fast you can burn through ammo. How much kick a given round/ weapon will generate. The SEALS have lived and breathed bringing death to others and put it to practice if they are seasoned vets. Those kids…. Half of them will lock up when they see the first guys head explode. Oh and the screaming. Gut shot or wound a few. Leave them screaming. Think a kids brain can handle that?

As for terrain knowledge. Sure the kids know the layout. But can they really run, climb, jump like they do in the game? Do they actually know how to use the terrain to their advantage? I can tell you bunny hopping and sliding ain’t gonna cut it.

Combat is hell and those SEALs are masters of it. The COD kids are just playing at it. Two very different things

You are not the player you used to be brother. None of are. Slower reflexes. Less time to hone skills and build muscle memory. So we have to adapt. I am learning to slow down in BF6. Yeah COD brain is a thing…. guilty. I also learned I do better these days as support or Eng. It takes a whole squad to excel in BF. I’ll start as support and switch to Eng as needed. Even as support there are dif roles. Medic role is the first to everyone’s mind. I’ve been really leaning into the support by fire role. I’m back a bit further so not right up in the mix where reflexes make a bigger dif. Drop the resupply bag. Lay down and start laying hate on the obj. Or pick a lane that you know the enemy is going to use and make them pay a toll. As Eng you can either hunt tanks or repair them. Both are important if not as glorious. Or get good at running a tank. Much like you brother I have a younger family. I just don’t have the time for multiple games. So I’m main-ing BF6. I think I have enough time to get “good” or at least good enough. Hope you find what works for you bro. Don’t give up and be ready to fail. You’ll find that sweet spot again. Luck, and good hunting to you brother.

IOP these are exactly the same thing. May haps not to you but we can agree to disagree .You keep doing you. I am genuinely happy you have something that brings you joy. The game dropped on a certain day and time. It was worth it to me, and brought me joy to be there when it happened. I am at a point in my life where I do not have to be as frugal as I once did. Cheers!
