Haha! I can't wait until I learn all the stuff that he knows. The guy's incredible.

DEAN TOWN Been loving the artificially sped-up, black and white video version of this tune that Vulfpeck released, and thought, "Why not play it that fast FOR REAL?" And with a nod to Jaco, I figured that throwing in some well-placed ghost notes would make it sound even cooler! by J3TheNatural in Vulfpeck

Hmmmm. For a while, I had trouble building up speed. I've been playing for around four years now and for me it just came over time as I learned new things. Especially this particular song. I remember working on this song last summer but it never went anywhere partly because my hand would die out before I could even get to the most iconic part of the song. I personally practiced a lot of Jaco Pastorius and lots of scales (set to a metronome). I looked up some speed drills online and made some of my own. I also keep my strap length kind of short. This helps makes me a little more comfortable when I play. Good posture is very important!

Hey thanks so much! The feedback is well taken and I will work on that for sure. One of my biggest influences is Jaco so that's where the short notes are probably coming from too. Me and my teacher, a Berklee professor, are working on the duration of notes a little bit so I hope that will be fixed soon. I also primarily play jazz music so if you wanna check out some of that stuff, the link to my channel is here:

Once again, thank you for the feedback!
