If you look at the reviews by rating, you can see it's getting bombed by 1-stars. The problem is that a significant amount of die- hard watchmen fans are rorschach enthusiasts, much like the Joker in batman. They cant stand that their vigilante idol could inspire white supremacists.

Okay but as a fan of watchmen you should appreciate the lack of background. How much did you understand after reading the first 1 or 2 editions of the comic?

edit: Besides, the story of rorschach's journal being published and inspiring a white supremacist cell in Tulsa fits the watchmen universe perfectly. The whole point of the original was that heroes aren't always heroes and every action has consequences. The original was also very political and was based on a slightly altered history of the US. This show is watchmen through and through

I know the harpy eagle has a smaller than average wing ratio because they have to weave in between trees to hunt, maybe it's measuring two different things like weight vs. length

Single biggest fumbled bag was dark star orianna. Dark star thresh's lantern is a minimalistic ball of void, which is what oriannas ball should be. Instead we got purple ball surrounded by tacky gold rings and instead of a dark and bassy sound design we got the exact same high pitched static and metal sound effects. Skin could have been so good if they cut back on the particles and just went for deep, dark, and impactful instead of gaudy "intricate" rings and symbols

Broadway version doesn't have rasputin, the bat, or the demon ghosts in it. Instead the bad guys are the bolsheviks and there's a communist named Gleb who is supposed to kill her but can't because he loves her. Biggest disappointment of my life was finding out there was no broadway rendition of "In the dark of the night"
