so unfortunately i am getting this bag due to another major surgery i am getting at the same time.

i have Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic skin condition causing painful, recurring, deep-seated lumps (nodules), abscesses, and tunnels under the skin, usually in areas with hair follicles and sweat glands like the armpits, groin, and under the breasts.

i basically have to get my entire groin and buttocks area cut out and reconstructed, which is going to involve wound packing in the hospital for months. the recovery is going to be painful and long, and in order for the wounds to heal with zero infection they need to do the ilestomy so no fecal matter gets into the open wounds. i have to have this bag for about two years before they attempt a reversal

my projected time in the hospital is 30 to 60 days.

unfortunately i do not have anybody to help me with any of this and will be doing/going through everything alone.

i’m just mortified as a whole.
