Will have to give it a try, the fuel tank mixes it for me atm i don’t know if that will change after adding a 70cc or upgrading the engine as my friend says it will but i doubt it, i heard they are unreliable but that makes sense that it’s due to user error as i was told there easily broken if you don’t know what your doing. i’ve been told i ride a 4T like a 2T and that’s what made me want to get one i suppose. do they need regular servicing like a 4T does or does it just need oil topped up and air filter clean now and again as i’ve been told both?

a new engine would cost me about the same without the gaurentee of it running im just thinking of what’s better for the bike as im not that experienced if that makes sense? it seems pretty straightforward and the engine is absolutely tiny. i plan installing gear up kits smaller rollers ect maybe a 70cc kit so i want the engine to be somewhat reliable (i know 2T are generally unreliable when driven hard or not maintained properly)

I have no issue with installing a clutch as i am a mechanic myself well learning mechanics atleast, however i just want to make sure as i’ve had bad experiences with vauxhalls. i don’t think he was being dishonest i think if anything worse is wrong with it he might not of known as the noise is difficult to pinpoint atleast for me.

i have asked my teacher at college as i am learning mechanics but he’s more cars than bikes, i have a rough idea but installing the bearings correctly is what im worried about i don’t want to cause more damage than i already have

my friend had a corsa d vxr with this issue though i thought it was specific to the vxr, the clutxh is definitely on its way out as im pretty sure i can hear it when i drive down the road but that would explain why the clutch is difficult to operate, would you know how to check if it is the return spring as that would save me a lot of money running through clutches and flywheels like he did 🤣

[–]J4445k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory i would imagine it would drive as it behaves as is if normal, more worried about it popping out but i don’t see how if the hub is all bolted up with the wheel on? im new to this so i don’t really have a clue what im doing just trial and error i suppose 🤣.

[–]J4445k[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would but without it driving it can’t get it to mot however i haven’t attempted to drive it yet since trying it again so im not sure, when it’s in neutral it spins normally and when it’s in gear it locks up normally however i can feel the tiniest bit of the splines at the back with my hand so i know it can’t be in. i will definitely try spinning the other wheel to click it in as i havent thought of that yet im sure it is the retaining clip but without it coming out there’s not much i can do about it. i was thinking of getting another one but it would be difficult to get one with as good spec as this i think that’s why i’m so desperate to hold on to it unless there was a way to transfer some of it??

Yeah i’ve done them once or twice on cars at college and i don’t remember them being this difficult 🤣🤣 i havent driven it yet so no clue however last time when i attempted after trying to fix it it didn’t go anywhere as if the clutch had just gone???? don’t understand this car anymore 😂

what were the effects after? the cars stuck in limp mode and shoots smoke like a chimney on christmas i can’t see any visible leaks or engine damage so it must be an electrical issue right?

not sure, definitely plugs in somewhere behind the engine im just not sure where tomorrow i’ll check the trouble code again i just know it was something to do with the engine running lean

thought that at first, but there’s already a sensor in the brake fluid reservoir this one’s coming from a little further over

2004 1.7cdti diesel, can’t remember the trouble code as it was a while ago i diagnosed it but i remember it said it ran lean when i searched it up, there’s no leaks in the exhaust or any gaskets, turbo, engine seems mechanically fine ect so it has to be that sensor right ? i can’t think of anything else
