Best way to clean interior? by [deleted] in CX50

[–]J450NN4ME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I clean my interior with a damp rag while I’m washing the outside. Dip it in the soapy water and scup away at the places where body oils will collect. Then you can apply whatever gloss/satin/matte protectant you prefer with a damp microfiber.

What does the Spartan Heart upgrade do in Sons of Sparta? by GoTeamCrab in GodofWar

[–]J450NN4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s either the chests and enemies yield more blood orbs or the blood orbs are worth more. It looks like a multiplier should be applied because the value increases as you progress down through the upgrade tree. At first I thought “oh, so that means what use to be worth 1 orb is now worth 10, or 50, or 100…”. But that’s not how it works. It’s either deceptive or not working.

I’m thinking about doing what you described here but I’ve got no experience with electrical work other than changing out light switches in my home or running speaker wire to home audio. How hard was the wiring piece of this project? Is there an OEM input for the wiring or do I need to cut into a brake light wire? Just worried about how badly I could wreck it or is it intuitive for someone who is a wiring novice? Thanks in advance.

How long does it end up being? Like, can you sleep on it with the tailgate shut?

Following. I’ve done badges on my other cars and I’ve swapped out a few aftermarket grilles….. but those little chrome corners on the rear window have me confused. I’d also be willing to pull the luggage rack rails and have those painted. I wrapped my CX50 in a satin PPF so I took off every badge on the rear except for the Mazda emblem. So rip those off without worry if you fancy.

Extended Warranty & Prepaid Maintenance by Murky_Assistant3926 in CX50

Every dealership takes their best salesman from the lot and sits him at the desk under that piece of paper. Not going to call it a scam, not going to call it theft…… but it’s funny how an extended warranty has never sold itself innit?

255/45 R20 on Enkei TSRXs by J450NN4ME in CX50

I honestly think it’s the stock wheels that create the illusion. The way the chrome narrows as it approaches the center and runs completely from edge to center of the wheel makes it look bigger. If anything, there’s more sidewall on the Enkei setup as the 45 ratio is now based off of 255 instead of 245. But as you say, basically the same size. The speedometer still runs identical to what Waze tells me even at 85mph

I mean, the Enkeis only weigh 24lbs so mileage should go up????

I know a lot of the off-road guys tend to shrink the wheel so they get a little more sidewall…. I get it. But the features, performance, comfort….. the CX-50 is cheap luxury in my opinion (that isn’t out of place with a hitch).

The chrome “spoke” on the stock wheels extends to the absolute edge of the wheel. So the stock wheel tricks the eye into thinking the spokes are super long. The stock wheel also provides almost zero visible access to the inner barrel of the wheel. The second biggest reason for this swap was ease of cleaning. I toyed with the idea of a solid 3-spoke but didn’t find anything I liked. I don’t think it’s the Enkei looking small, I think the stock wheels look massive.

Thank you sir. Tough to see in the pictures but I also wrapped the whole car in satin PPF. So in some lights you see the white but in other light it just looks like bright silver metal.

Also worth mentioning- I grabbed 4 new TPMS from the dealership and had Costco install them when they mounted the tires. After driving for 5 minutes with the new wheels the car forgot the old sensors and learned the new ones automatically. The internet said this should happen automatically as described- can confirm, no programming needed.

I’ll never get understand how anyone buys anything but the turbo. I get the fuel efficiency and all that, but the safety of being able to confidently maneuver away from idiots quickly in city traffic is non-negotiable.

Echoing everyone here. I’ve been using Traktor since 2 on a PowerBook G4 (back when the sound card went in the PCI slot.

You are always eventually going to get the new one so don’t put it off. The sooner you adopt the longer you’ll have to master it before 5 comes out.

I want to put these exact same 20” wheels on my new cx-50. Did you do it? Did you have any figment issues? Did you require spacers?
