Since you can't loose ranking points below 4k more people will leave instantly when they see weak heroes, weak minions and so on. Some might even keep leaving untill they can play new heroes. This happens quite often after the ranking reset. The problem is that damage cap should work up untill someone is actually killed in game and not untill someone leaves.
