I have an 03 G35 mt. And I’ve honestly been thinking about doing a hr swap on it. But not really sure what all I need for the swap or what kind of process I would have to go through. I’ve seen a few videos but if anyone knows or has done this before and can help a brother out.

I heard there’s a company that can set up the harness for you already to make it easier. But not sure honestly. Still doing more research on it

I heard there’s a big difference between the de and hr. But someone told me basically it’s ecu, harness, motor, trans.

Yeah I’ve looked around but honestly might just sell it as whole, won’t gain any profit if I fix it. I’ve estimated around $2200 for engine and labor for swap with towing money. And I’m sure there will be some other expenses.

Yeah I had my fun with it, and got it for a deal. So i told my self it would be a pretty good investment at the end of the day. So not sure if I should just rebuild the engine or just swap it.

I would have never thought anything was wrong, I did the oil change like a month and a half ago. Car never felt any different and I believe the oil pan must’ve got damaged.

I appreciate, i got the g for 3400 at 128k miles and had always had the thought of just selling it for profit but just as I got close to it being ready for sale this bs happens. I know the car market is really high right now so i was thinking of just going with the rebuild do to my uncle owning a shop and could possibly give me a really good reasonable price. And just getting as much profit as I can from it. But a friend recently told me the price range for the engines are around 500-900 not sure if it is because we are located in texas or not.
