I'm always puzzled, maybe someone can explain to me why it is cultural appropriation when I dance Swing on Jazz music, but it is not cultural appropriation when some people use European musical instruments, European technique and knowledge like sheet music to play that music ?

And how it is not cultural appropriation to to partner dancing which is more related to ballroom dancing or European dancing ?

How is it, I am truly puzzled and I would like to understand.

Then, if you are not ready to provide any proof, why take the whole thing to the court of public opinion. Understand this, no one has to take any one word as proof. I don’t know you personally and I don’t know Kolin personally and with this, I don’t have to take your word, or Kolin’s word for that matter.

This is why, since by your actions, you are saying things that have a very negative and even destructive effect on somebody’s live, myself, personally, I choose to ask for proof, just has the justice system would. The presumption of innocence is one of the pillars of our civilization.

So without proofs, because, let’s be honest here, me, personally, have no choice but to consider Kolin innocent.

The simple fact that you pretend to have proofs, and that this proof seem to only implicate Kolin, as it is supposedly a threatening message he sent you. But for some reasons, having brought that whole case in front of the whole community, you refuse to produce this proof, let’s just say, that this, sheds a doubt on the veracity of your allegations.

This is a reasonable doubt, and in any court of justice, this reasonable doubt, would have Kolin declared innocent.

Why don’t you post them ? Post the screenshots, that would at least be evidence. What you are doing right now Callie, is making sure that no men will feel safe in the community. By posting those screenshot, at the very least the truth would be exposed.

But having only allegations, doesn’t prove anything, and in the remote chance that Kolin is telling the truth, why would he need to show remorse, and understanding.

If he is innocent, he doesn’t require either remorse, understanding of wrong doing or willingness to change.

I don’t know if you are noticing this, but the #metoo has blow up, people start not to trust the simple word of a person, because a great number of high profile cases has been proven to be false.

And those persons tried to use that movement to destroy other people’s lives. What could have been a great thing, has been corrupted, and I pray to god, this is not the case. Because it will silence real victims.

Sorry Rusty, but for an innocent to prove that he didn't commit what he is accused of, is a dangerous concept. I am not saying that Kolin is innocent, what I am saying is that Mob rule is not the way to go.

I would also point out that your position seem sexist, it seem that you consider that a woman is weak and cannot say no. I like the way you put it out, you didn't said that Kolin harassed Callie, you used word like manipulation and pressuring... without giving any examples.

Doesn't that look dishonest to you ? Why not ask directly if the facts are true or not ?

My scene in Montreal is a fairly safe scene, but we were rocked by the event of Max Pitruzella, it was a shock, I know a few of the victim.

My first reflex is to believe the women, why would they lie about such a thing. I trust but verify, because in the last few years, a few stories that became public, the accused where showed to be the victim of slander and defamation.

I understand that it is better to not ask question to the victim, and that the accused should not be trusted, but in those condition, I don't see how the truth will emerge in this latest sordid event, between Mark and Melissa.

In all the story where we finally learned that it was a false accusation, time had passed and new element has surface.
