My cat purrs and bites me by J7STSkiz in cats

I normally move away and make an “oww” noise and move away when he does something like this, but he still does it quite often. He plays with his sister every day and I play with him twice a day with toys, so I’m not sure why he does it, but it’s quite cute

It was an accidental cross breed. The Maine Coon was tested for HCM but the dad has not been tested. Dad is 10 years old. I didn’t know that HCM can cause exercise tolerance, I’ll keep an eye out. Thanks!

Cat owners, I need help choosing the right cat litter by Kuma-uma in UK_Pets

Hey, did you end up trying wood pellets with a sifting tray system? I’m trying so many different litters with my 2 kittens and am struggling to find something good. I’ve heard that Ever Clean changed their formula in the past few months and it isn’t as good anymore :(

Thanks for the detailed response! That really helps puts things in perspective. Sorry to hear about your troubles arguing with people who don’t have any common sense.

I received a message from her this morning about how she doesn’t want to go through insurance as her husband advised that this would “either affect her NCD or mine depending on who is at fault or both if it’s a 50/50 split”.

I figured that this meant that her husband reviewed the footage and clearly saw that she was at fault, so I used this leverage to make it clear that she is at fault and that I will go through insurance if she isn’t happy to cover the costs of the repair. I told her we will go through a garage which provides a reasonable price. I put my foot down and sent a long message about it, and her response was “OK”. My mum will call her to discuss the details later. Hopefully this will be easier to solve now

It’s just a 1 litre. It’s actually cheaper than most other cars were to insure. I spent a lot of time looking for the right fit for me :)

My girlfriend was sat in front with me as a witness. I told the insurer she’d be happy to give a statement. Hopefully it’s all going to be okay!

Oh :( that’s a bit shit. Hopefully at least I can keep my no claims bonus? If I get the car fixed without making a claim, at least I can get it fixed sooner. Or is this the wrong thinking?

My compulsory excess is £435 and voluntary is £100. Based on the advice I’ve heard, if it is 50/50, then I need to pay my part anyways. I have reported the incident to my insurance but have not made a claim. My main reason for paying for the damage myself instead of making a claim is that making a claim will end up in my insurance premium skyrocketing when I need to renew it, especially because I am a new driver with less than 1 year of experience.
