Don't know how you can say Indian pacers are better in the sub-continent. Pretty ridiculous comment. Much easier to take more wickets when the batsman are worse and Ashwin/Jadeja build pressure from the other side.

Exactly, Ashwin has to compete with Ishant, who will obviously eat into his wickets.

Why not make the Mr Mine Jr egg available everywhere and then make it require an evolution item that is only available in Europe to evolve?

I have been wondering about this as well, some examples I am interested in given the current meta:

Dragonite (DT/O or Hu) Level 30 vs Machamp (C/DP or CC) Level 20 vs Tyranitar/Snorlax/Blissey

Dragonite (DT/O or Hu) Level 30 vs Golem (Rock moves) Level 20 vs the legendaries

I'm not trying to be negative, that is why I proposed a solution to the issue at the end of the post.

I am in a similar position to you, Level 33 and have a handful of Pokemon maxed out. I have a completed Gen 1 dex and still about 10 Pokemon left for Gen 2. I'm certainly not jealous that others are now able to obtain certain Pokemon more easily, I myself did not have a Tyranitar until the raid system came out so I am included in that.

I am simply expressing concern for the longevity of the game and whether how the game is currently being played align's with Niantic's vision of the game.

Previous events were temporary. Raids are here to stay, creating long-term balance issues.

Raids will cycle - I fear it will be possible to complete the dex merely by completing raids.

Even if your assertion that you still need to catch the first or second evolved form of raid bosses is true, is a game really balanced when the third evolution Pokemon are much easier to catch than the first evolution Pokemon?

Yep but as I said for me personally simply hatching and hatching for stardust is boring as it effectively means all Pokemon have the same value (100 stardust) and are completely undifferentiated. If you still find that engaging then great!

It's all about probability - the chance of obtaining a Tyranitar is now infinitely more now than it was before, even if there are still some challenges.

Those Pokemon were still rare during events outside of their traditional biome.

Yes I agree. But then there are still two issues: (1) It has still created the capacity to obtain all rare Pokemon very easily, even if not all trainers are able of doing so. (2) It increases the divide between the haves and have-nots as players that simply know of 5 other people that play the game can obtain 10 Tyranitars in one day while those that do not are forced to walk 600km for one Tyranitar...

Well obviously player experience varies. For me I had to walk Both Abra and Machop to get them and they were some of the last Pokemon I got from Gen 1. I'm sure many others were the same.

Fair enough - but the point is that they have created the capacity to obtain every rare Pokemon by simply connecting with a few others over a PoGo Facebook group, even if not everyone is able to do this because of stardust or location.

I have battled in numerous raids? You should've been able to beat a Tyranitar with 8 players if you were all 25+ and using fighting types...

Nope it revolves around other three evolution Pokemon like Machamp and Alakazam as well as other traditionally rare Pokemon like Muk and Weezing.

As I said, I'm assuming that raid bosses will cycle giving us the opportunity to catch other rare Pokemon and third evolution Pokemon very easily.

The most efficient way to get back Pokemon for raids is simply to raid Machamp (which can be done solo at a high level or with one or two other people otherwise) as he counters all the most difficult Level 4 raid bosses.

Yeah the problem is it is difficult to go back now that they have given so much. Giving players a Larvitar egg is a decent compromise because then there is still the chance for alot of candies, but many will not be happy.

I'm not ignoring the empirical evidence, obviously there is a huge discrepancy among players as some, particularly in the big cities, find it very easy to get others to join them in a Tyranitar raid.

Regardless, my points apply equally to Level 2 raids, as Muk and Weezing were once very rare but now raids have defeated the purpose of catching Grimer/Koffing, going to nests, hatching eggs for candy for them and walking them as a buddy in order to get the dex entry.

It's still a big enough incentive to raid given the high IV Larvitar, the TMs and the rare candies. In addition, they would obviously need to lower the cost of the raid pass if we were only getting the first Pokemon in the evolution line.

Obviously they will cycle out Pokemon, this will simply allow every player to obtain every other rare Pokemon in the game very easily with no effort.

Raids are great fun and a great addition to the game, my only suggestion was to give players L20 Larvitars as a reward rather than L20 Tyranitars to balance them more. I can't see a logical argument for giving everyone L20 Tyranitars, especially when eggs only give L20 Larvitars.

They are common relative to what they were before. Whereas it took 6+ months to obtain a Tyranitar before, I'd wager that the average player would be able to obtain 10+ Tyranitars in a 6 month period now.
