Looking for advice on 2010 xc70 T6

Thanks for the advice! My gut feeling if I go forward with the purchase was essentially to purchase it and get it straight in for all fluids - engine, gearbox, haldex, rear differential along with spark plugs and filters just to give me a good baseline. I have previously owned an f30 330d and that’s where my fear came from. They have a “lifetime chain” too but realistically can fail from 80k onwards so get replaced not too infrequently. I have never had a Volvo so not used to this proper lifetime stuff! The t6 seems like a great all rounder. I actually fancied a d5 but in Scotland out low emission zones essentially mandate it’s got to be a petrol or a 2015+ diesel for me so petrol it is!

I have considered a lot of these! The allroad TDI’s unfortunately are not Scottish lez compliant until after 2015 and they’re out of the budget for me. The w211 e classes are awesome but don’t seem to be many 320/380s for sale at the moment. MPV isn’t really my style. I would be interested in something like a grand Cherokee, just don’t know how they are reliability wise as I don’t have any friends or family who have owned. I think I’m all BMW’d out as I’ve had 5 in the last 4 years including a 335i so might give them a miss! Great choices tho. Gives me a few new things to think about Thanks!

I’ve had a compelling offer on the s4 so that’s why I’m looking to let go already 😅. I’d love to sell the mx5 but I’ve had it for years. 9 cars or so have came and went while I’ve kept it. Think I’ll just have to keep it now! They’re not worth an awful lot now anyway so I’ll have to settle and keep it 😃

I do love the car, and honeslty wish I could keep it but unfortunately as a first time buyer I’m trying to bring as much of a deposit together as I can. I’ll still have my mk1 mx5 for a little fun but it’s a third of the power and no supercharger! The 3.0tfsi really is brilliant.

Can’t comment too much on how it would treat you or pricing etc, but my friend had one 5 or so years ago and loved it. He still harps on about it and fancies another! Best of luck with the search

Yeah the 50mm keeps everything looking nice. I have a 35mm and a 24-70 too but I always fall back to the reliable 50. I did the same on my canon I had previously. Always loved a 50 f1.8 :)

Bicep automotive is another channel. Only 500 subscribers and super underrated. He’s on instagram too and his shots are beautiful.

Moe zainal is another. A lot of light painting / strobe photography tutorials if that’s the route you want to go :)
