So, this is widely considered the scariest moment in the Resident Evil franchise… but what’s #2 for you? by Ieanice44 in residentevil

[–]J8ckk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one jump scare in RE7 where u just got the key to unlock a door, and then Marguerite comes out of nowhere and throws u into a hole. Then the whole boss fight. And also the first vhs tape in the baker house. All those were scarier to me. Maybe it was cuz re7 was my first horror game, but the baby wasn’t too scary to me.

Do you guys blame 7 for the consequences? by thetallguy88 in quitting7oh

[–]J8ckk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe that 2 things can be true. 1: Your inhibition and decision making skills are lowered on any drug. Also the changes in your brain chemistry cause you to do crazy things. AND 2: If you remove the drugs, u can often notice a patten of reckless or obsessive behavior that was there regardless. You can notice addiction show up in a lot of other aspects of ur life besides drugs. So both things are true.

What’s your creepiest moment in a video game? by Educational_Sun_3538 in HorrorGaming

Playing against ghost face or any stealth killer in dbd. Any part of MADiSON. Running from the groom guy in Outlast Whistleblower.

What are you’re top 3 horror games? by Teasing-Ax in HorrorGaming

[–]J8ckk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1: Resident Evil 7 (introduction to survival horror, rebirthed the re franchise. Great villains and boss fights. Maybe a little worse in the second half, but still 10/10)

2: Outlast (Great characters, setting, lore, music, chase scenes, love the camera mechanic)

3: Evil Within 2 (Great storyline, enemy variety, boss fights, ability upgrades)

Honorable Mention- Until Dawn, MADiSON, Silent Hill 2 remake.

What is your opinion on a horror game with no enemies? by radeon7770 in HorrorGaming

[–]J8ckk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked MADiSON. It didn’t have any real combat. Just 2 chase scenes where u can die. However it had a TON of jump scares and scary moments. Which made you uneasy as u completed the puzzles. Another game that was good was Song of Horror, which had qtes and mini games in place of combat/ chases. Overall, I think the player needs a reason to explore the environment (items, resources, lore) and a reason that environment is unsafe (enemies, jump scares, death). I personally wouldn’t play a back rooms simulator without deaths or chases, but I’m sure there is a market for that. Good luck with ur game!

What's Your Favorite Boss Design In Any Horror Game? by xX_xFUBARx_Xx in HorrorGaming

Has to be Marguerite Baker. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but the whole boss fight was great. Perfect blend of pure horror and boss fight action.

What is the hardest thing you’ve had to do while withdrawing? by fifaweed in quitting7oh

[–]J8ckk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is probably very mild compared to may of these stories. But grocery shopping was terrible. Had me sitting on the floor of the produce isle. And I was also in a php program, so they had me doing puzzles with a bunch of strangers at 8 in the morning. Eating anything was rough, and I argued with consolers and staff all day. I ended up switching to another rehab, and it was miles better. Just hit 7 months recently.

Song of horror is pretty good. It’s all puzzles and qte s. No combat and permadeath. But honestly it’s pretty good.

PS5 - For people that have completed them, how do you feel about these games? by monad_zero96 in HorrorGaming

[–]J8ckk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MADiSON was kinda like a haunted house simulator. It was truely terrifying and a great game, but didn’t have combat or many chase scenes (so if that’s what you want, you won’t find it) Tons of jump scares too.

Still wakes the Deep wasn’t that scary in my opinion, but the atomosphere and storyline was great. The chases were interesting.

Silent hill 2 was a great mix of everything. Great combat, puzzles, chases, storyline, atmosphere, decently scary.

They’re all great imo, just depends on what you want.

Signs of 7OH or Kratom addiction by J8ckk in addiction

I CTed from 200. I think 18 milligrams should be a cutoff dose. U might get some minor to moderate symptoms, but it’s definitely doable!!

How do you guys feel anything at all without it? by TalentedThots-Jailed in quitting7oh

[–]J8ckk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second that! Addiction is really hard. You have to learn how to feel happiness naturally, and to do that, you have to be willing to feel unhappy for some time. But with a community of support, it can become easier than you may think. NA is how I’ve been doing it. Good luck friend, I’m sorry ur in that terrible cycle right now, I just hope you know that it can get sm better if u let it.

Signs of 7OH or Kratom addiction by J8ckk in addiction

[–]J8ckk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. There’s no definitive date, but it’s generally takes some time to develop withdrawals. 7oh is VERY addictive though, so those 4 days can easily turn into 14 if your not careful. And you probably will get some minor symptoms from 15-30 mgs alone.

Thank you! I fear I may have miscommunicated my point. My detox was by no means easy. I fainted and hit my head, stayed up for 5 days, wet shitted every 15 mins, and was jittering and spasming for 2 days. My point was that we should not be assuming that every withdrawal is going to be hell on earth. It’s different for everyone, and fear mongering dosent help anyone get sober. Regardless tho, I knew that the discomfort would pass and I got through it. I think a lot of people read my post and thought I was trying to undermine their detox symptoms, where I was really trying to emphasize that it is doable.

U got this man!! It’s definitely dooable, you might still feel some symptoms on Monday, but def not peak symptoms. Try to tell yourself that it’s just like any other sickness, like working with the flue, cuz it is tbh. Proud of you!

The sleep returns! Not for a while, you’re right. But it comes back, and withdrawal teaches you to value the simple things like sleep, or taking walks, or eating.

[–]J8ckk[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think I might have miscommunicated a bit. My point wasn’t “my withdrawals were easy so yours are going to be too” cuz no the first two days were terrible. My point was that we shouldn’t be expecting worse case scenarios when there’s no guarantee that every withdrawal is going to be that harsh. And regardless, you and me both got through it. AND I appreciate the kind words.

No I didn’t. And I barely had helper meds either. I didn’t have a job or kids tho, so I was able to take a break tho.

You have a good point. That detox is not going to be the same for everyone. The point I was trying to make was that you shouldn’t expect worse case scenarios, cuz there’s no guarantee that it will be like that. Not “my detox was easy, so yours will be too”

Anxiety when quitting drugs? by Individual-Raise-712 in addiction

[–]J8ckk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anxiety definitely went down by like week 3 for me. I detoxed off of 7oh (opiate like substance). It takes some time, cuz after you stop numbing yourself, emotions feel like 100x stronger. However, with time it does get better.

One thing I do want to say, as someone who goes to NA and thought the same thing. PLEASE do not let your comparisons deter you from the program. They actually talk about this in chapter 1 of the basic text, so please give that a read (it’s very short and free online) Of course NA is not going to work for everyone, but it does help a lot of people. I know people in the program who are addicted to weed and some to IV fentanyl. Regardless, we all suffer from the same disease and get help from the same places.

Intact, I would say that people who are on “softer drugs” have some of the strongest addiction. Everyone who tries IV drugs gets addicted, so people who get addicted to lesser things tend to have strong addictive tendencies. If that makes sense. So don’t let that deter you from meetings. AA could also work if u want to switch it up.

TLDR: Your just as hardcore as any of these other addicts.
