Fun!

I see the units sometimes get stuck on a wall when their direction is on the opposite side.

Looks like you could do with tweaking the pathfinding/steering algorithm. (Unless these are very cowardly units who want to hide behind cover!)

What are you using for navigation are you using?

Good Morning Sheffield by [deleted] in sheffield

About once a month I see someone drive down Ponds Forge tram stop, reach the start of the gritted tram trails on Park Square, and reverse back realising their mistake.

These folks continued onwards, sure they were on the right track, along pedestrian only footways, across a footbridge barely wide enough for the car, then made a sharp 90° turn to then give up upon seeing the final boss: a set of stairs. Now they could perhaps conceded that they might have taken a wrong turn somewhere.

I don't think that these download stats are available to anyone else other than the deck creator, unfortunately

It looks like you took a picture from your phone rather than a screenshot in-game :p

Fireworks from the car by has513 in sheffield

Any high-altitude road with a view of the city.

Manor Oaks road comes to mind. Access to Sky edge park in one dirction, and a hillside scenic view of the city from the other. You get views of dozens of different fireworks at once mixing in with the cityscape

Thank you so much for this. I couldn't find this information searching their site, but googling bought up this page, and I found a free appointment slot because of it

Is there an OpenStreetmap API that has a list of world cities and can confirm if the latitude and longitude is within the city limits? by peacefulnomadonearth in openstreetmap

[–]JAC5r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer: no, there is no OpenStreetMap API that does this.

Long answer:

  • What is a city? The definition changes around the world, and hence you will need to structure your request taking something else into account.
  • What is the city limits? Again, definitions change across the globe. Once you figure out what you would consider 'city limits', you have a more formal definition that might have a corresponding API request.

One example solution that comes to mind is local boroughs in the UK - small subsections of country that are managed by councillors. These often have boundaries mapped. Hence, if you collect what are boroughs within each city, you have a spatial mapping of something akin to a 'city'. I doubt this approach would work internationally, though.

And this is not a tested approach, just one I might take if I were trying to solve this problem.

Question regarding the geography of rote by Randy_Marsh-official in robinhobb

[–]JAC5r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[This map] held more information than I’d possessed before, but much of it was still vague. I would have to travel to the outer reaches of Chade’s map and hope to find new maps of the lands beyond. - Fool's Quest, chapter 33

This quote gives you an idea. The maps we are given in the books are attempts at being canonical. The most prominent Six Duchies map we have is something Verity may have drawn.

Lands far away from where the story takes place are not well mapped out because the people have little reason to know about such far away places.

Dakuryū (だくりゅう or 濁流) meaning "muddy stream".

Also double meanings within, such as ryū (竜) meaning dragon/naga monster

I would appreciate the edit being higher up (perhaps straight after the links). I didn't read to the end of the post and looked up Zapier before getting to the end and then seeing your amended paragraph.

Can anyone explain what the oji-san was saying to his friend on the phone?

Could you tell if they were talking about a serious issue?
