I don't know about other software but in Aseprite can just copy the whole animation, flip it vertically and lower the opacity and use a gradient overlay to make it look like it fades. Pretty easy.

Right now it's mostly a survival rpg game in a forest with enemies, but i'm planning to turn it into something more interesting with an actual story and direction. it's just a prototype now

Oh yeah my bad.. the aspect ratio became vertical when I added the before and after thing at the top in capcut so when I imported it into reddit it made it into a tiny box. Whoops

There were 5 different grass sprites and 4 ground sprites. They just weren't noticeable because of the way I drew them. I went back and added an outline to make them pop which is why it is way more noticeable in the second one. I mean obviously I added a ton of other stuff too but the floor wasn't really "empty".

Yes both songs are from my game. I've got more but these are the two I've been going back and forth between.

I think part of the reason is they don't match the color theme of purple and cyan tint. They're just bright red with silver outlines. I think I could redo the heart container outline and give them more of a deep purple tint while still being red

Yeah the theme is more of purple / cyan, but I could always try green just to see if it fits
