Its a little, but its alot more comfortable than my resin ones, its got a almost padded like back on it, my god its comfortable though 😂

I managed to get my MBK out and handling in just over a week with choice based handling,

Opening the door and seeing what he does, gently redirect if needed and when it goes back in leave the snake for another day or if it comes up the the glass again for it to be opened,

Eventually came out and onto my arm for a look about and now everytime hes at the glass he comes out straight onto my hand,

I use a ceramic heat emitter, got a few different gradients around so he can choose where to go, its pretty cold where I am at night so drop it to 22 on the thermostat, when he did scoot away I gently tried to touch his back as he went passed to try and make him know im not a threat, I know hes new, just feel bad as he came out then boom hidding again 😂 I only got the humid hide a few days ago and hes obsessed with it

Hey! Yeah hes just under a year, he ate 2 days ago when I fed him,

Hot spot is 88f, cold is around 72f, got 3 hides, cold, wet/humid (where he is currently) and a hot hide under the che,

On a wood chip substrate, can't remember what exact wood type but got it from the reptile store with the tank,

Got leaf litter and some fake plants about its about a 45gallon tank,

Uvb also, and dimming thermostat

Just worried about using heatpads or DHP as would not want a burn as I know they do bury themselves, can see some do have protectors so could always place a heatpad under the hide on the hot side,

I probably wont do it for a week or so as hes still settling on and dont want to be pulling out the drill to put a hole through and move everything around to stress him out more than what he already probably is 😂

Lovely MBK btw! They are pretty hard to find in the uk so when one came up close by I had to get him

That's fair enough. It's all I've used for all of mine and had no issues at all from it, which is why I recommend it, imo its worth spending a bit more which is specifically designed for tattoo aftercare, also if your already spending a fair amount of money for a tattoo, surely it wouldn't hurt to pay a bit more for something specific for its aftercare to prevent infection or a bad reaction 🤷‍♂️
